A nice train station but not many amenities.
Mark one of the staff was very helpful to my grandmother on Friday 2nd keeping her informed with train to Edinburgh..
Nice little Market Town. Well positioned for links into Newcastle and the Northumbrian coast.. Didn't spend much time here, as was travelling on a daily basis, but what I saw, I liked. Handy shopping arcade for picking up essentials and sandwiches, etc.
Ticket machine only accepts cards, so you get told off for not having a ticket on the train by the idiotic staff, who tell you to go to the ticket office even though 99% of the time it is closed. Beautiful station, in need of some TLC but very histroric.
I needed to pick up pre booked tickets but as always the machine was broken. I asked the ticket office if they could help me out and the women looked at me like I had said something offensive and offered no more help.
PLEASE change the miserable , rude , unhelpful lady at ticket office I was almost scared to ask a simple question her attitude stinks !!!!!
the lack of disabled toilet disgusts me this station is not properly modified for disabled people
The station itself isnt bad but the person working on the ticket desk is extremely rude and unhelpful. They were in such a hurry to wave the train off someone didnt get off in time. The foors locked and they ended up back in Scorland!!
Customer service absolutely terrible.
