In my second attempt, I recently passed my driving test at the Morden Driving Test Centre, and I must commend Julie, the examiner, for her exceptional professionalism. Julie's calm and reassuring demeanor significantly eased my nerves, allowing me to focus solely on demonstrating my driving skills. Her approach not only fosters a more relaxed examination environment but also highlights that the primary goal is to assess driving proficiency, not to intimidate candidates. Thank you, Julie!nnJust a thought for other examiners: a simple greeting can go a long way in setting a positive tone for the test. Given the long wait for appointments and the overall cost involved, expecting this much from an examiner is not too much to ask, I guess.
I had my test today at Morden with Julie and I honestly cannot speak more highly of her! At nearly 9 months pregnant, I was incredibly anxious about the test generally, and Julie had such a professional and calming approach. She completely put me at ease which allowed me to focus on my driving and ultimately resulted in being able to achieve a pass - something that definitely would not have been possible without Julie’s fantastic professionalism!!

In my recent test a few days ago, I was lucky enough to have Sheree as my examiner. By greeting me warmly with a smile, she made me feel at ease very quickly. She also gave helpful advice at the beginning of the test when I had difficulty moving off from a busy main road to start the test. As she could probably tell I was rather nervous and needed better concentration, she only chatted with me at the beginning of the test so that I could stay focused for the rest of the journey. Sheree was also very understanding about candidates' nerves. In the car park I asked for double confirmation for her instructions which she already repeated twice due to my paranoiac anxiety. However, Sheree remained calm and smiled at me in an understanding way and repeated her instructions without showing any annoyance. I must say her kindness, patience, calm demeanour and clear instructions all along have helped me massively in the test. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Sheree! I will bear in mind your advice: Once you have made up your mind, stick to it.nnI would also like to thank my previous examiners at this centre. All of them gave clear instructions well ahead of time during the test. Though I failed, they explained to me my faults and how I should have dealt with those situations, which would help me become a safer driver in the future.nnGood luck to other learner drivers.
