A School Pta group raising funds to enrich the school experience for all its pupils
Moorfield Primary School is a one and a half form entry intake (45 pupils per year group) for pupils aged 4 to 11; the current number on roll is 255.
Currently, there are 5 infant classes and 5 junior classes. Reception are taught in a single unit following the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Key stages one and two follow the National Curriculum which is presented as a skills based curriculum alongside the Primary Frameworks for English and maths.
The views of pupils, parents and other members of the school community are sought in preparing a curriculum and wider opportunity fit for the 21st century. As a school we are constantly reviewing and refining our provision to ensure it meets the needs of our children and families.
We are the proud holders of the Healthy Schools Award, the Primary Quality Mark (basic skills award), BECTA ICT Mark, Sport England Active Mark, and Artsmark Gold.
