I stayed there for one night with my family. Actually quite a nice place! They provided us with an assortment of teas and spices that we appreciated. Although the place was quite small, I still enjoyed it. The views were so incredibly beautiful and it was so nice just sitting outside and appreciating the views. I also really liked the shared utility room that was filled with many boardgames like Monopoly, Game of Life, etc, alongside lots of books that I wish I had the chance to read. The Art Room was also really cool.
A wonderful few days spent at Rock Pippet. The lodges are beautifully and thoughtfully arranged and the views gorgeous.nI was there for an art workshop.. Indian Miniature painting with Samantha Buckley. A form that I would really recommend… even if you have no experience of painting or drawing.. Sam is a great and fun teacher and Bridget and Richard kept us supplied with delicious cakes and lunches.. I cant think of anywhere I would rather stay!
Recent Charcoal course over 3 days at Moor and Sea. Excellent tutor, very constructive and well run course. Art studio was bright and light with plenty of space for the 8 people attending. Excellent vegetarian lunch and plentiful fluid replacement and cakes calorie free- I think not - put who cares as they were delicious. Several other courses through the year and if needed they have accommodation on site. Highly recommended.
Staying at Moor and Sea and attending Charcoal Sketchbooks with Kate Boucher was a delight; enjoyable, relaxing and productive. The course is suitable for for all abilities and Kate paces the 3 days sensitively giving time and guidance to everyone. The hosts, Bridget and Richard, are lovely; extremely generous with their time and hospitality. The lodge I stayed in was spotless, comfortable and contains everything you might need. I am looking forward to returning.
I recently attended a craft course to paint Indian miniature birds at Moor & Sea. The course was excellent and I now have my picture on the wall at home. The venue was great for the painting course, the workshop had plenty of light and was warm and spacious. The catering was amazing, really brilliant cakes and a lovely home made lunch every day. Looking forward to going back to do another course.
