Fantastic lunch. Wonderful food and superb service. Highly recommend visiting It's interior is eclectic and homely, I could have stayed there all day. I recommend the smoked salmon starter on the menu for lunch it was delicious. A good cup of tea is also hard to find in a pub! Well done team you are a hidden gem and I will be back again.
Quaint setting, good ambience, interesting decor. Delicious food of exceptional quality. We very much enjoyed the Hake with shrimp sauce, would have that again in heartbeat! We also tried the pork ribs. Again they were cooked to perfection, falling off the bone, in a delicious oriental sauce. A minor point that our preference would be less sugar in the marinade. The garlic bread that came with the ribs was crispy and buttery, the best we've ever had! We also had a chicken goujon starter which had a tasty sauce and the salad in particular was delicious as it had a good balanced dressing and was very fresh. Unfortunately we had no room left for dessert as the overall portions were quite generous. The table next to us had steak being cooked on a hot stone. This had to be ordered 24hrs in advance so we couldn't try it but looked and smelt spectacular. Definitely recommend for a special occasion or more often if you can afford it! Best to book a table.
Exceptional, Service was incredible, friendly staff, attentive. The food though, oh wow, it’s so hard to find a place that really offers food that is delicious all round. The setting and the pub as a whole has a warm welcoming feeling very relaxing atmosphere. The value for money blew my mind coming from cheltenham were used to high prices for standard food. Definitely worth a visit, can’t wait to come back for Sunday dinner. I really want to thank the whole team for making us feel welcome especially as people are so quick to judge. Really had the most amazing time, probably one of my favourite places
We came down to surprise my brother on his birthday . Rang ahead and the staff added us to the table at short notice but kept it a surprise. Outstanding food and staff were excellent friendly and welcomed us . The manager even came over to ask us if our food and experience was ok. It was better than ok , quite simply the best Hake I’ve every eaten ! Beautiful food and restaurant. Look forward to seeing you again . Thank you so much .
The staff here are amazing! So friendly and attentive. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great I would highly recommend going. I adore the name of this place and can't wait to visit again. The car park is a good size too, so we've never had an issue trying to park.
Thoroughly enjoyed my birthday lunch at The Moody Cow a couple weeks ago. The service, experience and food was great. Would recommend and look forward to returning soon.
Great food with a sizzling steak on a hot stone option and a lovely atmosphere! The staff were very polite and welcoming! Would definitely visit again if in the local area!
Really lovely, friendly, atmospheric pub. Warm welcome. Food is delicious. Excellent decor and attention to detail. Coming again this week to dine before we leave the UK.
Purely by chance we booked the gazebo for our evening meal as the pub itself was fully booked. It turned out for us, to be the best table in the house or rather outside of it. There is a wood burner to keep you warm, which you can keep topped up. It had it's own charm and was very comfortable and spacious. The pub also provided a blue tooth speaker so we could play our own music to add to our wonderful experience. We were well catered for and the staff were very attentive especially as they were short staffed. The food was lovely too. I would recommend eating here.
First visit, beautiful place inside and out, I had hake with prawn,dill sauce absolutely delicious full after so shared a cheeseboardvery friendly, would visit again when in the area
