Lovely little gem of a place and very hip Full English breakfast was delicious. However, the price for a full English breakfast was a bit steep for cafe breakfast prices. And there were other cafes in the same area which were not as expensive. Even in London prices for full English were reasonable.Food: 5/5
Long wait for service but the food was good and it was a nice venue. However I wanted a smaller bite, was told not to order because it was for "under 14s" but got a smaller portion of a falafel wrap and when I asked where the hummus was as I believed some was included I was charged £2.50 extra without any notice so £15 for a small pitta and coffee. When I queried this is was clear it wasn't going to change so I didn't embarrass myself more but I didn't think it was very transparent!
I am a regular customer and often have soup at the cafe. It is always very tasty. Today I went to sit in the extension at the back, where I usually sit. It was half past 2. All the tables in this area are small. The waitress asked me to move as she said it was a table for 4. I think 4 people would only fit at the table if they were having just a drink, and nothing more. I feel customers should sit where they want within reason. I walked out as it appears that profit is more important than the customer
Such a shame the prices have gone through the roof. Used to love coming here but lunch for 2 adults and a toddler ended up costing £57! My mum had a salad with hummus and olives, I have a chicken chiabatta and my toddler had beans with a chopped sausage and slice of bread, we all had one drink. As we left we asked for two slices of cake to takeaway not aware it would come to £10 for two slices... Sadly won't be eating here again.
Popped into Mooch for a quick cuppa but was delighted to find a lovely little cafe with friendly, efficient staff that served delicious food and outstanding cakes. My new favourite ever cake is Ginger and honey with a plum jam filling which was incredible.Food: 5/5
Really good place for a brunch. I got the avocado toast which was great, and my fiancé got the veggie breakfast which he loved. The coffee was decent. The service was very nice, although a bit slow. We waited for probably 15 minutes for coffee and then 30 minutes between our drinks and our food being served. Would definitely go back though!
Very slow service having been told they would take the order at our table... sat and sat until compelled to ask if we'd been forgotten? Sat in conservatory at back - nice space but uncomfortable chairs and very damp cushions. Ridiculously expensive! Pot of tea for two almost £8! Great that they offered GF alternative for my Ciabatta but... sadly this was just supermarket white sliced GF bread. Prices indicated it would be Artisan bakery. Just not my vibe tbh and won't go again with lunch for two totalling almost £40!
Went in mooch today, server greeted me and I asked to save a table as I was meeting a few friends for lunch, and I ordered a flat white. Nipped to use the loo, and the servers had given my table away, and moved me to a wobbly uncomfortable table that was too small. Coffee split everywhere, had to quickly drink it and leave. Won’t be returning
2nd visit to confirm... Friendly, welcoming staff. Great selection of drinks & snacks. Covid safe procedures and very dog friendly, Benson offered water before I got my tea Update: Returned on campervan trip, excellent friendly service that I thought could be improved.... Is even better! 5 Staff. Benson was offered a chopped sausage & tasty decaff coffee blend. If your in Hebden Bridge, #TeamMooch is worth the wander along the road away from tourist centre. Thanks guys.
Absolutely outstanding!!! Fabulous food, amazing coffee. Brilliant service , I had the vegetarian breakfast and my husband had the full English and both were the best breakfast we have eaten in a cafe/ restaurant ever !!! The food is of a very high standard 5 stars is not enough. How lucky are Hebdon Bridge to have this little gem.
