Great place for Thai food with amazing value. Had a suitable amount of options in the menu. The fried mushrooms for starters were great. Green curry had amazing taste and a little spicy for the faint hearted but otherwise was great. Service was polite and good. Recommend for Thai food if nearby.
If you want to try the best Thai food in England I think this is the must go to place. The staff was super friendly, the service was great, the prices was reasonable and the food was just amazing. Its as it close as it gets to the real taste of Thai food. Would definitely visit again if I go to Bridport. I'm highly recommending Rakhang Thai restaurant. You will not get disappointed.
My wife and I along with another couple went for a lunch time special menu treat. We were greeted by a Very friendly team member probably the owner who took our coats and showed us to our table. All of the Team were friendly and very welcoming. We perused the menu, placed our drinks order and then gave our food order. We had a 3 course menu at a very reasonable £14. Per head. All of the food was beautifully presented and tasted sublime. I can highly recommend this culinary treasure . Well worth a visit.
We had the lunch menus and it was really good. My wife said she had the best Tom Yum soup outside of Thailand! Service was also very good and swift.
The food overall was good and the woman who was waitressing other tables was really friendly and helpful. However the level of rudeness we encountered from our waiter was incredible. When we arrived, he handed us the menu without saying a word, and we didn't hear another word from him throughout the rest of the meal. After our plates were cleared, nobody brought a dessert menu or came to check if we wanted anything else until we requested the bill 30 minutes later but our waiter did keep hanging around our table and looking at us, as if waiting for us to leave. They added a glass of wine to the bill, which we hadn't ordered and politely pointed this out. He took the bill and rectified it again not saying anything and didn't even muster an apology or explanation for the mix-up. I've seen another review on trip adviser mentioned similar behaviour, and I have no doubt it's the same waiter they are referring to. There are other Thai places in the area, which I'd recommend over this one, given that certain customers are clearly not welcome here.
Great Thai food! We were there for lunch and were very happy with our choices. Hubs had Tom Kha and they spiced it just perfectly to his request. Also had a spikey main dish and my pad Thai was also perfect to my medium spice level. Lots of places I find the sauce way too sweet, not here!Recommended dishesPad Thai
Heard so much about the place and after 3nd visit, I could not stop thinking for the next visit. We had Thai Basket for two, and Tom Yum extra spicy for a treat and both tasted like we had in Thailand. Pad thai prawns was great, and the Red curry Beef was also extremely enjoyable. Glad we made an effort to visit. See you all again soon.
Quality of food Service Atmosphere Value for money and location Great food is often the result of fresh ingredients, skilled cooking techniques, and attention to detail, so a restaurant that serves amazing food is likely to be a good choice.Food: 4/5
If I could give more stars I would. We had the set menu and the service was polite and friendly and the food was fabulous. Very good value. Would come back in a heartbeat
This is such a great little restaurant which serves delicious food, when we visit which is quite often we always have as a starter the 'Rakhang Basket' for 2 to share which is truly scrumptious, then choose a main course and a rice dish, one rice dish we tried once was 'Khao Pad Goong' which have to say looked a bit strange but was really tasty. The one thing we wouldn't have again would be a dessert, as the one we had on a previous visit was 'over priced' and one that definitely 'under delivered' that said, this can be like a lot of restaurants where they concentrate of the savoury side of things, so we wouldn't hold that against them. If you like Thai, then we'd definitely recommend you coming here for something to eat. Depending on the day booking a table is advisable, plus they're not open on Mondays.
