I would never have considered ordering from Bengal Kitchen until I read the reviews. I am so glad I did. The food arrived exactly when they said it would and it was fantastic!! The nicest Dhansak I've had in a while and great Onion Bhajee's. I also loved the Tamarind sauce with the poppadoms. I will definitely be ordering my next takeaway from here and look forward to eating in the restaurant so I can meet all the staff.
This place has gone really downhill, it used to be good but has been so late on the last few orders. The restaurant mark the order as arrived on just eat before it’s been delivered, presumably to make it look like they aren’t so late. Tonight’s was over an hour late originally ordered for 6:30, the restaurant updated it to 6:50, it finally turned up at 7:35 after I chased them. The korma was so watered down my wife couldn’t eat it, it tasted like chicken in a bowl of watered down single cream. When I called the restaurant they admitted they’d had a problem with their supplier, and they weren’t happy with the korma’s they were sending out either - yet they were still charging for them and sending them out to customers! Why on earth weren’t we told at the time of order they had trouble with a specific dish we’d paid for? When I called I was told there was nothing they can do, they’ve sent out a sub standard meal but nothing could be done, apart from they’d “sort something out next time we ordered”. Won’t be using them again, and I’d suggest others don’t either unless they can sort a their delivery times, b the food standard, and c customer service.
Best curry house in Market Harborough, it’s our favourite go to place after trying all the other local curry houses staff are lovely also . Take your own drinks which is a bonus and keeps your bill down .
the worst takeaway meal ive ever experienced the tandoori chicked was just coated the prawn puri had no base and the chicken tawi was bright red and jus thrown together do not use
After all the years I have had the privilage of knowing and dining with 'Sad' and his crew, I have great delight in saying, it is a pleasure my friend, the food and hospitallity is second to none, your standards have always been the best ... you make myself and my family feel so welcome, nothing is too much trouble for you .. thankyou for a lovely evening tonight ... and most of all ... thankyou for bringing great food to our town!!! Ordered online. 45 minutes after delivery time had passed, I rang to enquire where food was. Man on phone said it was out for delivery and it would be with us in just a couple of minutes. After 40 further minutes no food so I rang again and a different man said they hadn’t cooked it yet and we could have it in 30 mins. Order was cancelled as it was now 9pm food was meant to be delivered at 7.15pm. I understand issues occur but the one star is because they lied initially when said it was out for delivery when it wasn’t.
Great food and even greater value. The best take away I have ever had. Looking forward to my next order already. Thank you.
I went here to get a takeaway whilst on a trip to Market Harborough on my Narrowboat holiday. Very friendly staff, was a pleasure to chat to them! The curry "Chicken Chilli Masala" from here was superb and amongst the best I've ever had! Highly recommended!
Went last night with friends and had a great meal. You take your own alcoholic drinks and they provide you glasses soft drinks are available. Food was really tasty and the portions were generous. Very friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. They also provide a takeaway service which we will be using in the future I'm sure !
Food was lovely, all the extras included were delicious. I asked for a surprise and after asking a couple of questions I ended up with a dish that I've never had before and it was brilliant, great value for money aswell.
