"Ello ello ello what’s all this then? It’s handsome Molino Lounge, housed in a former police station and town hall by the Odeon in Greave Street in the centre of Oldham. We’ve lovely big windows and a lovely big terrace outside, so we’re a great spot for people watching – and of course ideal for pre-or post film relaxing. We serve a great range of food and drinks including full kids, gluten free and vegan menus in a really relaxed, welcoming space with a surprising amount of nooks and crannies to escape to. You’ll notice plenty of arresting features, the specials are a steal…okay sorry that’s enough police references."

Attended here with 2 friends. It has a nice indoor and outdoor seating area. As we walked in the waitress did offer a gluten free menu. Once seated we chose what we wanted and walked up to place the order, did have the option of scanning on the table. The milkshake was nice but felt like it was a lot more milk. The disappointment was how long we had to wait for the food. It was over an hour and it wasn’t the best. Didn’t enjoy that part at all. Food was really good but as mentioned, the waiting time for food needs improvement.
The Milino Lounge had a good menu consisting of a wide breakfast/brunch section to other meals and desserts with a good selection of mocktails. There's also a children's menu. The building is interesting as it used to be an old police station and the exterior brick is exposed as part of the design to show this. Inside has a gilded wall depicting painted police men behind the bar and an array of framed paintings. They have a book shelf with books for everyone, good to keep children enterained too. Kid-friendliness: Had a family feel to the place, open space with books and a few toys. Child's menu is available. Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance is at ground level and was smooth with no step. Entrance also has double doors.
We stopped here on Friday afternoon. It's a very nice place and very friendly service. We ordered the avocado and halloumi burger and really enjoyed it.
Went here for a meal before the theatre. Haven’t been here for a few years. I was very pleased to find it’s still a great place to eat especially for gluten free. The girl who took my order was very reassuring that my meal would be totally gluten free. The waiter who served us was very polite and friendly. My friends thoroughly enjoyed their meals too. Will definitely go back. Nice atmosphere too. Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free menu
Went there for work/team meal. As we was gonna be 12 of we prebooked, when booking online it only let us pick the Christmas menu but as most of did not liken the Christmas menu, so one of my colleague rang them about this and did not get anywhere, they did let is book by ringing. We then went in and one of the staff said just pick Christmas menu and we can still order from normal menu. Few days before we get email asking to pick the food we wany to they order the ingredient. On the day and the table was only set for 10 and they had to join another table. They do not do table serve and you have to order at the bar. As couple of the staff did not want and one decided one day he wanted to order and was told it will not come with rest of the food as it will added to the queue with orders placed on the day and this fair enough as he had the option to pre order, when he asked even if whats something small or just like chips it still will be added to queue, something like this could have easily been added to the rest of the order. We then ordered drinks, some went for alcohol and some went non alcohol drink. The milkshake was juat syrup mixed with milk. The hot chocolates was chocolate powder, nothing real special about it. As most of us pre ordered and the ones that did not want food did not order any extra, when we came in and as was still waiting on a couple more to arrive i was expecting them to ask if they want to make the food and bring it or do they want us to wait, which they did not and we thought as we came in they would start making the food which was not the case, we also ranf on the day to say we are.on the way. We booked for 5.30 arrived at there for like 5.15/5.20 we got seated and around 5.40/5.45 they asked us do went them to bring the food out and we said yes and as some use could only stay to 6/6.30 and as they asked if we want the food to be brought out we thought the food was ready to be served which was not the case, after 15 min of being asked we asked them said they are only starting to make the food. Which meant most of us was not happy as we all pre ordered the food like 24hr before expecting them to get the food prepped or start cooking food when we arrived plus it seems like they could have let the other colleague order some simple and it could have been served with rest of the food. Food wise, we did enjoin the food and it was nice. The place could do we some better service. I could understand if the place was very busy but at the time we went i would say they had one other large party of about 12 and couple of smaller table or 2 or 3 people Vegetarian options: They do have a mix of vegi and none vegi items Parking: For parking you can either park at sainsbury which is 3 hours free and about min or 2 walk or you can pay to park at spindles Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp so you can get in with a wheelchair
Excellent food, and service. Lovely atmosphere everyone so pleasant, went with family really recommend it definately go again. Thank you Vegetarian options: Good selections
Great menu, something for everyone. Separate full vegan menu and a gluten free menu, a good variety of dishes. Cozy decor and friendly staff. Been here both day and night for brunch and dinner, it's always a good atmosphere and food has been delicious. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options and a separate full vegan menu. Kid-friendliness: Great for families. Child friendly options. Small children provided with activity sheet and crayons. Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor entrance and double door access. Dietary restrictions: Full gluten free menu.
We were looking for somewhere to dine when we came across Molino Lounge. What a lovely place!...The only tiny issue I had was due to the lighting being quite low I struggled to read the menu. We had a great meal though, and the staff are all lovely, definitely recommend Molino Food: 4/5
Poor service, waited at the "please wait to be seated sign" and were told to sit where we wanted, which we did. No one came to take our order of anything. We were not told anything about ordering at the bar and felt a bit ignored. After 10-15 mins we left and went elsewhere. If we'd been told when we entered, to take a seat and order ag the bar the maybe we'd have stayed. I could see nothing on the menu to suggest ordering at the bar. It was all very disappointing really, staff disinterested. Ordering system not made clear. We'd probably be happy if the staff had explained that we should order at thd bar but they weren't really interested.
Walked past a few times until we went in lovely place nice food friendly staff great service. Definitely recommend and we have been numerous times and will continue to do so.Food: 5/5
