Hidden gem! Looks odd from the outside but the food is AMAZING! Recommend the tasting menu...
This was my first experience of Korean food, the resturant is cute and chic and the staff are absolutely lovely. My girlfriend who had been to Korea for a month was treated so kindly me too, to the degree of where the chef came out and greeted us with a free dish. It was the best ever dining experience I've ever had to pay for, in fact I was craving the food the very next day.
Little bit out of town and off the beaten track. Its a hidden gem that looks a bit worrying when your on the outside but when you walk in it's absolutely amazing and was really quite busy but not over the top. They took us through a courtyard to another room which was full but relaxing. It was very cold outside but they managed to keep it lovely and warm considering how old the building was you'd expect it to be drafty but wasn't at all. We ordered the set menu for 2 which I think was £30 split between 2 was a bargain for 4 courses and everything tasted great. Did intend on having pudding but was so full just settled on green tea. One issue is that the toilets were across the courtyard and we're absolutely freezing and the floor was a bit wet. I got the impression the toilets were shared with the other buildings. Didn't have any bearing on the good time we had. The courtyard looked great so hoping to go back for Korean BBQ in the summer!
This is a lovely little family run restaurant in an old industrial building. We had the 4 course set meal which is a great way to sample the menu. The food is tasty and fresh. The fried chicken and the sweet potato glass noodles are worth a visit alone. I enjoyed it all and will be going again.
As many others have said, this is a hidden gem nestled in an industrial area and the owners have taken that theme and run with it to create a unique and inviting restaurant. The food was impeccable and very fairly priced for quality you receive. The head chef made a couple of visits to our table and took the time to explain some the thinking behind her menu and Korean food I general which we all appreciated. Also hands down the best fried chicken in brum - if you get nothing else, get this! Will be coming back very soon.
A hidden gem. Fantastic food, we had the 4 course meal meat menu + mochi and cheesecake and also some pears, salad and fish we got. The food was amazing, but the best part was the cook who came out and explained the food and spoke about the korean culture and how the food was supposed to be eaten. We paid about £20 per person, including drinks, and got a lot of good food and superb service. It was worth every pence. I can not find anything negative about this place and will definitely come back if I have the chance.
The absolute best Korean food I've tasted.
The best Korean restaurant in Birmingham! Tasty dishes with nice presentation. Chef was really friendly and talked to every table to introduce her healthy menu and see if we're happy with the food.
Good Korean food and none of the "Korean BBQ" in sight! As I didn't know much about Korean food, I just ordered the 4 course set menu, which was very generous and incredible value! And was introduced to some very tasty food by a chef that senms passionate about teaching people about Korean food
Excellent food, interesting space, friendly staff and the chef came and explained some of the dishes. All for a bargain 15 quid each for the 4 courses. Drinks also cheap. Will definitely be a regular when they actually have tables available!!. Can't recommend enough.
