Fantastic place! The most delicious macaroons and really reasonably priced for the high quality. Our guy Adam was fab when we did the 1 hour painting and we had a great time!! Would happily recommend
Cute little shop, great flavour selection. The signage on the door is a bit confusing, I didn't know which door to pull! But once I was in, it was all good! Very easily accessible from Bull St tram stop as well as Snow Hill station, and it's also a good cause to support. I'll be back!
What a wonderful little set-up! The macarons themselves were delightful, with a good range of flavours and presented in a lovely box and bag that was perfect for a graduation present. What they are doing is brilliant too, using children from disadvantaged backgrounds across the business to help train them and give them skills, equipping them for a better future - truly noble. Do bear that in mind when you go in, that this may be the first experience of retail or working that some of these kids may have had. I thought they were fab, they knew everything I needed to about the product and were super friendly. Keep up the great work, and well done.
Having descended on Miss Macaroon's yesterday Saturday 14/09/19 with 3 friends, Garnet gave us fantastic customer service; he really knew about the products and showed us the various offers available. We sat in to have a bottle of prosecco and one of each macaroon on offer. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere as we sampled the flavours. The chocolate raspberry macaroon didn't look very appealing with the brown and pink combination but it was a perfect balance between the two flavours which complemented each other. The lemon macaroon was like an explosion of lemon curd; there was an initial sharp kick then a smooth sweetness. This gem should be on everyone's radar. Nestled in a beautiful shopping arcade in the centre of Birmingham it provides a valuable contribution to local needs.
I love the concept of this place and used to love coming here but wasn't too impressed today. I used to remember the vanilla or 'tonka' macaron being amazing from here but when I asked about them I basically got a 'computer says no' response. I left with a couple though but some of them don't look as well risen and are quite chewy compared to what I'm used to.
The macaroons themselves were great but the pricing model leaves much to be desired. An individual macaroon is £1.25 whilst a box of 9 is £15. The observant amongst us will notice that this works out to £1.67 per macaroon. A mark up of near 30% Next time I shall bring my own Tupperware container and get 10 individual macaroons at £1.25 making total that time £12.50 as it should be.
Honestly the worst customer service we have ever received. Being a business owner myself I know how to treat customers. We ordered red macaroons and were sent pink macaroons. We had to argue with the founder for 30 mins and show her a red macaroon next to her dusty pink one before we managed to get a 50% refund. Thankfully we won’t have to deal with this mediocre business again … let alone the average tasting macaroons.
Fantastic store selling delicious macaroons. And all the profits go towards training courses for young people. Look forward to being able to visit again post lockdown but until then will keep ordering them online!
Lovely macaroons and they sell bags of broken ones for £2 which is an absolute bargain. Highly recommended.
Had a really lovely afternoon doing the macaroon painting with a glass of Prosecco and absolutely loved it! A fantastic price and a really chilled atmosphere. I think it is quite a new addition to miss macaroon but I highly recommend giving it a go for an hour as it’s just so different!
