**Read fully** I wouldn't advise bringing your animals here. Our two cats stayed in here for a week. The staff are quite brisk, they take your animals off you, put them straight in cages, they ask you questions and make conversation but also advise you not to say goodbye. My cat Leo went in with his whiskers perfectly normal and came out with a few of them chopped. I rang up the woman who has owned and ran the cattery for 50 years. She began by informing me, although she hadn't even seen the picture I sent or seen him in person, she could tell me categorically it didn't happen on her premises. She told me she was shocked I would suggest my cats whiskers were snipped in her home, but when I asked her how she would explain it she didn't know. His whiskers look like they've been snipped with scissors. She recommended I seek an opinion from a vet, though I don't know why you would need a veterinary degree to tell this, and was unhelpful and dismissive. Worst part? When I told her I would have to leave a review to inform people of the incident, she began telling me about her family members dying and how tough her year was, almost emotionally blackmailing me into not doing this. If you leave your animals in there and they come out looking differently, don't bother calling, she will dismiss it, discuss her personal life in a professional capacity and also warn you to watch what you write online like she did me. Nothing worse than someone telling you for a fact something they have no clue of, hadn't happened and not being interested in anything you have to say.
Hi all I left my kitten for 4 days she was well looked after she came home active and happy it’s always hard to leave your pet but this is a good place to leave you pet she is chasing a fly very happy
Wonderful cattery! Makes a difference when those providing the service take pride and care about what they do.
Our Greyhound has just spent 10 days at the Kennels and was well looked after. She was her usual playful self when the staff member went to pop a lead on her to bring her out to us, a good sign that she had been cared for. The kennel was clean and she had inside and outside space.
My three cats have boarded here for the last 15 years! Irene and the team are first class and no doubt, animals come first. The care is exceptional and our girls come home groomed and content. It is a home from home for them. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending.
I took my 3 beautiful cats to the cattery, all had been to the vet and had a clean bill of health. As I was abroad I whatsapped each day to check in on them. On th day I took them in I mention the 1yr old had a weepy eye and the vet had said it was due to him hurting it on something whilst playing. NO treatment just a wipe and check. I did the staff who didn't really seam intrested. Each day I was told they were eatimg well, doing well, feeling well. So this morning i call to check in and was told oh one cat has a weepy eye, the other 2 are sneezing and all have cat flu!! I thought in had misheard , but i was told they had been checked by the in house vet who said they all had cat flu. So at this I questioned just how could this be as they came in with a clean bill of health, to this the girl responded it happens and it's the stress of a new place!! She then went on to say the 3 cats were isolated as it will spread, I asked for the vet call out and boarding fee to be prepared , I was told she would tgat once she gets back to the cattery. I called my son and asked him to collect the cats as I needed my vet to see them, as one cat is 1, another 2 1/2 and one being 21 and fragile. I called the same girl to say I will need to collect the cats, she couldn't get me off the phone quick enough. When my son went to pay the and collect the cats he was told the eye on the youngest had cleared up, ehat in a whole 9 mins??? My son tool all three cats to our own vet, on examining Each of them he commented they had lost weight and were dehydrated, they smelt of urine and poo was on the youngest cat!. He said the cats did not have any type of flu or illness. I contacted the girl I previously spoke to, who then backtracked and said the vet hadn't said they had cat flu, but the staff observed and thought the cat showed signed of flu... So why am I paying for a call out for a vet who didn't exist???? Then the whole isolation.. now I'm being told the cats weren't isolated hust stopped from going through the adjoring pen?? All three cats were highly distressed to the point of panting, circulating I the cat box, scratching and crying loudly. Not the behaviour of my usually placid cats, never had this behaviour when they have been to a cattery before. I am certainly taking this further, and the cattery have yet to respond to my email. This cattery gives GOOD LOVING catteries a bad name!!!!
Absolutely over the moon that we found Misbourne after our move from East to West 18 months ago. All of the staff are wonderful, and James T Cat is always in great spirits when we pick him up. He's stayed 4 times in 18 months including a Christmas week and provided we can get him a space we won't be going anywhere else.
