A truly enjoyable experience! The artists who make these sets are incredibly talented and have to be tremendously patient to be able to make scenes with such meticulous attention to detail. I particularly enjoyed the scenes of history’s great wars and the history of Canada’s western development. Absolutely a great way to spend an hour or so. Worth every penny.
Very interesting exhibits, I was very impressed with the detail in the miniature people, especially the really small ones. It was quite busy and hard to navigate and see everything. Kids will have loads of fun, but what helps them engage is the buttons they can push to make something move or light up. The only thing that did bother me was how dusty things were, but seeing that places like this have just reopened and may be having staff shortages due to the pandemic I'll definitely give them a break.
I brought my children here and they were fascinated with all the detail and how they could see inside many buildings. The displays are brought to life with trains that move or figurines doing light action sequences. The interactive buttons to press for noises or commentary are a nice touch as well. Staff were very courteous and helpful. It's great to see that this place is still available for us inquisitive adults and the little ones in our lives. We will be back next year.
Went on a Sunday, there was no line up. Outside is deceiving, once you go through you realize how big the museum is. It's interactive great for all ages. Great history lesson with a little fairytale fun as well. Highly recommend!
Really enjoyed our trip to Miniature World. The thing I loved the most was not only was each display really detailed, there were descriptions above each display depicting what it was with some historical information too. Personally highlight was the Canadian railway stretching from Vancouver in the west to the Atlantic coast in the East.
So much imagination on display! Many of the scenes are doubly interesting because they cycle the lighting between day and night, so you can stand and watch the changing illumination. Buttons start the many trains, and identify historical structures. My only criticism is there was no planning for stroller parking. Many families with small children were there, and they have nice platforms for the smallest to stand on to see in the displays, but passages were tight and empty strollers were left in random awkward locations. Still, definitely worth a visit!
What an experience it was….!hats off to the creators of this.kids will love this place. View two of the World's Largest Doll Houses circa 1880 with over 50 rooms beautifully furnished in exquisite detail. Experience the Great Canadian Railway, Canada's National Wonder of the 1880s and one of the World's Largest Model Railways. And see the World's Smallest Operational Sawmill, 11 years in the making.
Absolutely adored this museum. My boyfriend and I have always enjoyed miniatures. The ones at this museum are outstanding no other miniatures and other museums can compare. The amount of details is incredible. I highly recommend this museum to anyone who enjoys details.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Interesting experience! I was actually skeptical before entering because I thought it will be a waste of time specially we had a limited days to visit. I think overall experience was positive Great friendly front desk staff, a lot of different exhibits and interesting views of different times of history I’d say it’s worth to give it a shot and visit it when you are around. For us it did not take a lot of time to go through all the exhibits
A must visit place in Victoria, especially for kids. Even adults can enjoy it and the displays are very informative. Many live miniatures working models of old technology are exhibited there. It is value for money. It will take an hour for a fast visit.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
