Always a top choice for a really nice meal out! Food is always amazing and the staff are lovely! They always have good offers on, and the Tuesday bogof steak is an excellent bargain, and comes with a side included! Highly recommend the calamari starter and the rib-eye steak!

The steak was very nice when we finally received the correct order, as good as many of the London steak houses. However, the whole meal was ruined by poorly trained staff and a terrible manager.  This was close to the worst service I have ever received. The biggest mistake by far was giving the wrong steaks to the wrong people wrong cuts and wrong temperature.  This meant a mess of a meal where some people sent their steak back while others ate theirs.  To top it off, the large cut chips were inedible. Not even an apology for the whole debacle from management sadly.  If it wasn't for the 2 for 1 offer we had on the steaks, I would have rated this 1 star at full price. On all non offer days - dont bother.  Very sad as this could be a true gem of a steak restaurant in Purley if they had trained staff and better management.

Pros - Nice atmosphere - Friendly staff - Steaks were amazing!  Cons - They forgot our starters - They spilled sauce over my partner accidents happen - My chips were not cooked properly and incredibly chewy...but by that point I was too hungry to send them back!  Had these things not gone wrong this would have been a pleasant experience, definitely not on par with the one in the city.

You won't find a better steak anywhere else in Purley. I would give the steak 4/5 but do have to subtract a mark because the restaurant is over-priced.  I don't recall how much I paid for the Mohito but it was the best part of Ten Pounds and the taste was overpowering without subtlety and missing the mint leaves.  The menu offers steaks at different weights showing both ounces and grammes, but the conversion is wrong - but wrong in an inconsistent way such that different weights have different conversion mistakes so it looks like the heavier the steak the more expensive it is per gramme. I highlighted this to the waiter. He came back and said the management were already aware. So why haven't they addressed it with a correction ? Even if only printing off a small label that overlays the mistake ?

Starters - Gambas in white wine sauce at £7.95 The turned out to be 7 very small prawns in a butter sauce. The most uncomplicated dish in the world. That makes it over £1 per piddly prawn.!! The steaks were tasty and cooked as required but frankly that should be the bare minimum expectation for a steak house. Service was OK but certainly not with Wow! factor. All in all, this is something that I could have knocked up in my sleep and it doesn't take a top chef to achieve the over-priced offerings experienced here. Not worth the money and effort so I would advise to give this a wide berth.

Heaven knows why they have changed the name - but this place does serve up a decent steak. I have had the sharing platter a couple of times and it is huge. That is a lot of protein. I like the way it is done up, nice atmosphere. Waiting staff not always the best. And irritatingly it is a choose your sides place. A pet hate of mine. But there is nothing wrong with anything that is fished up. Minging Mingo it isn't - but really - Mingo? Did anyone really think that one through?

Hi, Just wanted to say thanks for a fantastic meal! The food was excellent as was the service. I work in the west end, Marylebone and am spoiled for choice there when it comes to good restaurants. Often times local restaurants fall short. In my opinion these guys would do well to open another branch there. Keep up the good work!! 5* ++

We was here Saturday just gone and the food and service was terrible for the fact that we booked a week before Because it was my uncle birthday and we thought it would of been nice but we thought wrong. Food not cooked to what we asked for Food took over 2 hours to come Had to ask for drinks more then once And as for the ice cream it came in the same thing as the sauce.

Good food, but let down by such poor service time and time again. Drinks orders missed, wrong sides. Not so relaxing when you have to constantly request service and request the bill 3 times, 30 mins later it arrive with the drinks which never came.

Good quality steak cooked to your liking. Pricy but worth it, lovely venue with friendly staff. Would recommend making a reservation at weekends.
