The experience of staying at Mimosa Lodge has been excellent each of the three times I have stayed. It was such a refreshing change to find a warm welcome , wonderful service and vast local knowledge each time . All of my family felt thoroughly "at home " and all of our needs were catered for without any problems . The rooms we stayed in were beautifully furnished , comfortable and had lovely facilities . Breakfast was exemplary - with an amazing choice of a variety of locally sourced treats . I would happily recommend Sally's Mimosa Lodge as the ideal base for any stay on the interesting Isle . Enjoy !!
We had an excellent stay at Sally's. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The bathroom was amazing! The breakfast was very tasty. Sally took good care of us and we would go back with pleasure! Definitely recommended!
Sally the owner was very pleasant and welcoming. The B&B has only three rooms in the main house, each was on a separate floor and therefore quiet. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice. The WiFi was the best I have experienced outside my own home. If my wife and I stay on the Island again it will be our B&B of choice.
We had the lovely top floor room with the balcony which was a godsend in the hot weather with a lovely view over the bay. The room itself was a good size with a very comfortable bed. Tea and Coffee making facilities and a small fridge to keep our cold drinks in. TV with all the usual Freeview channels plus Netflix should you need it. A great shower in the ensuite too. Breakfast was brilliant with a menu of choices emailed to us the night before which we could select from. All the food was very tasty and we got to sit out on the veranda as it was so warm looking over the lovely garden. Sally the host was very attentive and would take care of any requests promptly.. Nothing was too much bother. It is just a short walk down to Gurnard Bay where there is a pleasing shingle beach and a slightly longer walk to Cowes itself. We would definitely stay again!
Review from Ben.. "A perfect bolthole within walking distance of Cowes centre" I stayed in a large room with very good quality bedding and enormous bathroom. The room was quiet, airy and had excellent facilities. Because of this, I had an excellent night's sleep followed by a lovely locally sourced full English breakfast. Sally could provide everything that was needed and always did it with a smile.
Whilst we only stayed one night, we were made to feel vey welcome on arrival, tea & toasted bun,s included ! Good location, lovely house with plenty of character, tastefully decorated. Accomodation very comfortable with great view from balcony. Breakfast next morning excellent, good choices for all tastes. Certainly recommend, hope to stay again ! Keep it up Sally & Jeremy.
Delightful house with superbly comfortable beds, sumptuous towels, Illy coffee and White Company toiletries available in the en-suite bathroom, surely luxurious for a B&B but at the right price! Sally is a marvellous host, friendly without being intrusive and cooks a marvellous breakfast. Thoroughly recommended - get in quick for the sailing season and Cowes Week.
We stayed just one night for a flying visit to relatives in Cowes. What a great find! I've stayed in many hotels that were of poorer quality than this. Spacious, airy, clean room. The bed and bedding was really comfortable, ^proper* plumbing in the bathroom with high pressure shower to wake you up. Full english breakfast, what's not to like?
Mimosa Lodge is a gem. Sally and Jeremy couldn't be more accommodating and the room that we stayed in was very comfortable indeed, a home from home, with a large beautiful garden that you can sit in too if you want a relaxing afternoon.
Lovely accommodation in a great location. Friendly host who provided a great breakfast to set us up for the day. Would definitely stay here again.
