We enjoyed a wonderful family evening in a group of 18 . The service and attention to detail was outstanding, it is somewhere I will now visit regularly . The starters included: King prawns in chilli, Prawn with avoidance, bruschetta. My main of sea bass was delicious. The mini- roast potatoes were perfect and the vegetables. I drank perrier water. The bill was reasonable. More importantly we were made to feel at home , and being the last to leave, we danced with the staff at the end of the night. Amy who is the manageress and owner and her team took great care of us. My wife has visited the restaurant for more than 30 years . Vegetarian options: There are also vegetarian choices, such as stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta as starters, also vegetarian pizza and they can make something bespoke for you with the pasta or spaghetti, just ask, they are very flexible in that regard. Parking: There is a pay and display car park in Cheam Village, only 200 metres away. Sometimes you can park outside where there is space for around 5 cars.
Great experience. Went here on a Thursday night without a booking, it wasn't too busy and we got seats for 4, 2 adults and 2 kids. The service is quick and polite with a varied menu of Italian dishes with some specials for the week. The portions are incredibly generous and food is nice.
Fantastic family run restaurant. I have been here a few times and always have always had a fabulous experience. The food is great, the steak tagliata being my favourite not to mention the amazing pizza’s. On my last visit we were a party of 8 and I have to say the service was exceptional. It was really busy but not once were we left waiting. All the staff were attentive and as always the food was perfect with big portions! Looking forward to returning for another special occasion. Thank you Mimi E Coco!
Was there for a 70th family birthday. The food was good especially considering they were serving 46 people in one go. The staff were attentive and prompt on getting anything else you needed, more drinks ,mustard for my steak etc All in all it was a great dining experience and considering I was in a such a large party . They did a brilliant job
Just celebrated my husband’s birthday with a lunch for 45 people yesterday. Amy made the whole process easy from the start. The food was amazing, the service and atmosphere was fab. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and I would not hesitate to recommend Mim e Coco to anyone thinking of holding a party here. Well done Amy and team!
I am in the top 5% of restaurant reviewers on Google ... This is by far the best Italian food I have had in the u.k. the dishes I had were very hard to get right. And they absolutely smashed it. This is definitely my new favourite place to eat. 10/10. Highly recommended.Food: 5/5
The best pasta I have ever had!! High recommend to any one, good draft beer. Maria really looked after us and was the best offering a high class service! Thank you
I live in the area and decided to book ahead and have a meal here with my family for the first time. We came promptly at midday, when we mentioned the name we booked with the booking was made over the phone a week previously the greeter met us with an "eh?". After a bit of minor dismay the greeter took us to a table. It was a bit confusing for us given she didn't check a reservation book or anything else. We ordered and the food arrived eventually. It appears to be an independent Italian restaurant and as much as I like independent places there were a few things failing here: - the cutlery was terrible. I bent my fork while attempting to cut my calzone with my impressively blunt knife. - the service was so-so. It wasn't very personable and we didn't feel welcome or anything. I'm not a suit-and-tie kinda guy, but when a middle-aged man wears an adidas tracksuit and a baseball cap to come to work as a waiter, you're expecting a larger-than-life personality to match. There was none personality I mean. - the food was ok. The spaghetti was very oily. The pizza was good but nothing I'd rave about. My calzone had a notably minimal filling. We ordered a mixed salad to share and it arrived as a bare minimum of chopped vegetables. I was expecting a chef's flourish of maybe a sprinkling of some oregano or special sauce, just something unique! But no. - The decor was interesting. The ceiling and walls were painted as a mural featuring what I presume were the family members who own the place. I don't really know but it was somewhat unique. There was no music. At some point Adidas Man was playing with the lighting for a few minutes. The toilets have a random, larger than life Elvis statue which scared the bejesus out of my children. I shouldn't laugh but that was possibly the highlight of the visit. It was ok. It wasn't that expensive. But I think I'd stick with the Sutton Zizzi or Cheam Pizza Express for an Italian food fix if I'm honest - the standard and the experience is a lot better.
I have a wonderful dinner with my family here! Friendly staff, good food!Recommended dishesLamb Shank, Seafood Pasta, Carbonara
Loved the warm welcome that we got at mimi e coco. There is parking right at the front of the restaurant which is super convenient. I love the attention to detail, my three year son was given a kiddy spoon for his pasta which makes it easier for him. My pasta Vongole was gorgeous and I tasted my sister's mushroom risotto which was super tasty.
