Milton Keynes Museum Christmas event runs each Friday, Saturday and Sunday from the 4th of December till the 20th of December with lots going on.

Story

Christmas is a magical time at the Museum. From carols in the Parlour to crafts in the Barn, the Victorian christmas is the highlight of the festive season. Come and Soak up the atmosphere of christmas past with the ladies of the house. Keep a look out for Queen Victoria, but don't forget to bow or curtsy. Take the children to visit Father Christmas and perhaps even pick up those last minute presents in the craft market.

We took the grandchildren to MK Museum again and they loved it!!! The volunteers did a brilliant job of engaging their interest in the first two rooms, as ever and though quite busy we really enjoyed the visit. The section with the old shops is my favourite and some of the brands are vaguely familiar from when I was little. To be honest, you'd have a job not to find something interesting here, as there is plenty to see and look at. In the old kitchen a lady volunteer was getting families to toast bread on toasting forks, which was great fun!! All in all, a friendly and interesting museum which is always worth a visit.

Great place to visit, worth every penny, interesting and the phone museum hands on for everybody. Old musical instruments that still play a tune and staff to show you how they operate. Cook toast on a roaring fire then on to the high street and visit the shops, even a well stocked sweet shop where you can buy your favourite sweeties. The tea room is a must then onto the transport collection. A great day out for all. Will be going back with other grandchildren.

Great local museum let down by very slow service in cafe. Shouldn't have to wait 45 minutes for a sandwich! Needs to improve when larger visitor numbers hopefully arrive with extension. Perhaps you need to employ people in the cafe rather than using volunteers Doris and Ethel. Most museums gain profits from secondary spend in catering outlets. Works wonders at NT properties. Perhaps you need paid employees where you are going to make the most money.

Beautifully laid out display of past rustic life in Stony Stratford and surrounding area. From past to modern, this museum is a great place to see life as had occurred and the people who made it all possible. Great place to visit.

Great place to take kids for a few hours with lots of hands on things to do. Eclectic mix of things to see, volunteers are really friendly and helpful. Tea room is great and very reasonably priced
