Milton Keynes Museum Christmas event runs each Friday, Saturday and Sunday from the 4th of December till the 20th of December with lots going on.

Story

Christmas is a magical time at the Museum. From carols in the Parlour to crafts in the Barn, the Victorian christmas is the highlight of the festive season. Come and Soak up the atmosphere of christmas past with the ladies of the house. Keep a look out for Queen Victoria, but don't forget to bow or curtsy. Take the children to visit Father Christmas and perhaps even pick up those last minute presents in the craft market.

Milton Keynes Museum is such a wonderful place for children and adults alike.nnWe’ve taken our three little ones here almost weekly upon their request!, and they love every minute of it.nnSuch a wide variety of exhibits and interactive displays and activities would be enough for most, but when you couple this with the outstanding volunteers that work here week round, it’s hard not to come back!nnHuge thank you to all the wonderful volunteers for bringing the exhibits to life and for being so kind and attentive in the tea room!nnWe cannot recommend the Milton Keynes Museum enough
Wow. MK Museum surpassed all my expectations. What unbelievable value for money for a SAHM and toddler.nnI have taken my two year old son here twice in two weeks and he's not stopped talking about it. The highlight so far has been the working water wheel which we didn't know was there until we visited.nnThank you to Paul and Diane Thursday crew for being so kind and helpful, showing my young son the music boxes and pianola, Ben Wednesday for the sewing machine and shoe polishing machine demonstrations, and John Wednesday for the many many! walks through the farming hall. What an absolute joy you all have been - so encouraging, making my son's visit so hands on and educational. He's already asking to come back!nnThe only thing that's been a sticky point is that some of the volunteers have different opinions/ rules on what young children are allowed to engage with and touch.
Thoroughly enjoyed the visit yesterday to the museum. Initially thought it was a smaller site but there’s so much to see.nnThe lady on reception was fantastic. Approachable, knowledgeable & very compassionate.
An excellent look back in time at various aspects of British life from Roman times through the corn laws, jahn Radliffe Library Oxford and his legacy after death. Opening with the music boxes , shut up pit a sock in it and rounding off with a beer festival 10 ales and 8 ciders, in the company of Bill and his friends..
Nice museum with a range of historical items.nnThey have interesting telecommunication section where we can see how the telephone exchanges work.
