Beautiful small town centre. Lovely monuments and well looked after. Would recommend the west highland walkway which starts from town centre not far from train station which ends at fort William. I've made a start but yet to complete but I will get there and more photos to follow up.
A old fashion train station with modern services that include =, disabled parking, bike parking, ticket machines, bus stop outside, local taxi rank as you exit the station. If you follow the underpath you will start you journey of West Highland Way. great staff and very clean train station.

Asked if I could use the public toilet and this lovely gentleman abruptly said no because I didn't have a train ticket. I asked him if I bought a train ticket could i use the the toilet and while sitting with his feet up on the desk told me no aggressively thank you Mr Scotrail for all your wonderful help
Absolute embarrassment to Scotland I have traveled the world and never seen women refused toilet facilities at any public station, scotrail hang your head in shame 3 irish women having got off the train walked out the station then went back in to use toilet and were refused, they were going on the west highland way and didn't have their tickets as they had put them in the bin in the day when we lead the world in period poverty, we lag behind in common decency absolutely ashamed what must people think.
So your journey of the West Highland Way begins. It will offer challenges and opportunities, but with the right mindset and enthusiastic outlook it will be an experience you cannot forget.

It's very quiet city near Glasgow
Great little town with a friendly community. It is also at the start of the West Highland Way.
Just perfect! Very clean and tidy! Would stay again
