Considering the store has had a closing down sale for 2 years they are still going, and prices are not really sale prices it's a little expensive, however the town does need an outdoor clothing store and I did reluctantly buy a pair of winter mittens to replace my very old one's, there's a sign outside saying the store is changing to a Go Outdoors store which will be better.
Needed new boots for walking the dog and selected a pair North Face boots. They were marked as reduced but we're still open to negotiation and gave a further discount, not much but every bit counts. Young polite staff, attentive but not pressuring. Need a coat now so will be going back. It's good to support the local High Street
My daughter has a black Peter Storm jacket which I rather liked so I decided to call in to see if they had the same in a larger size. They had but only one colour aubergine. I snapped it up for £45 reduced from £80. My bargain of the day. Lovely helpful staff.
Cracking good service, wanted a decent pair of trekking shoes, tried every pair in the shop, was given the pros and cons of each by the patient sales assistant. Eventually settled on a pair of Merrel Moab's, was that impressed took my wife later in the day for some, different sales assistant, same excellent service. Could have saved a few quid by shopping online but wouldn't have had anything like the service.
With mountain warehouse just up the road working so hard to give the best price and value on their unbranded jackets, it gives a good indication of how much margin these guys have been ripping Macclesfield off for over the years. They might sell branded goods and saturate their small shop floor with staff but the customer pays for that in the end. If you want brands to wow your friends when out at the shops, go knock yourself out. If you want actual functional practical outdoor gear because you actually go to the outdoors, don't waste your money here.
Bought two pairs of walking boots at a good price. Just waiting until it rains, thats when I find out if they are really waterproof!
A very nice man helped me to find the right running bottle holder . He did try to sell me a dearer one with a fancy green stripe to keep me safe But as I only run in the afternoon I opted for the cheaper one . Maccesfield shop.
Long established high street shop specialising in outdoor and leisure clothing and footwear. Many top brands featured. Well worth a visit. Strongly recommended.
Friendly approachable staff but they didn't seem to have much knowlage of the equipment I was looking at. The pricing was significantly different to the online pricing millets own website, however they did price match after I questioned this.
I went to Mountain Warehouse and got ignored so left...The Guys in Millets couldn’t have been more helpful. Great service, great jacket, great price!
