went there for walking had a good range to choose from. Great service from the manager who helped me choose walking boots, showed me a great way to lace up my boots without hurting my ankle which has old stitches on it. Would I recommend going there absolutely

Nice litle shop with more clothes than equipment. Small shoe & camping equipment section. Would have purchased more if my size were available. Upstairs is dowdy and needs an overhaul. Staff were nice, hands-off but there exactly when I needed them - perfect... until the till. Millets. Please, stop trying to sell us extra stuff at the till. I really don't expect this outdated retail practice to still be used at this type of store. Customers hate hearing it, staff hate doing it, so can only conclude you're lining your pockets at the detriment of staff and customers. The till was so cluttered with torches, chargers and trinkets - all primed for the poor staff to foist upon me - that there was barely enough room for it to function as a till. You sell large items: clear space on the till or put your hands in your own pockets and get a bigger till to cater for your masses of doodads for which these tills were clearly not designed. Better still, just accept that we are at the till because we are already spending with you and maybe, possibly just leave us be???
The service was excellent. We were buying lots of items for our daughter's duke of edinburgh expedition and received the undivided attention of a member of staff. Extremely knowledgable about each product
Great staff. Good range of stock. Staff interaction is just right. Available to help but not pushy. I have always had good experiences in this branch.
There is no doubt that from time to time Millets offers excellent deals. However, the store is not an inviting place to shop. This is not a criticism of the staff but of the overcrowded uninspiring layout
A limited range on display but helpful staff who will order online. Free and quick delivery which can be returned via the store
The staff here were great and saved me from festival showers. Got a great coat here that was a good price with fleece lining. Still does the trick.

Millets in Solihull is a decent size and well run store. They tend to cater for the lower end of the outdoor market but the prices are competitive and there are often money off deals when you sign up to various internet promotions.
