Great little shop with an upstairs. Staff are helpful and polite and friendly. Items are Great. Prices vary. Some stuff fair price. Other items. Three times more than what I can get across the street. However I presume its not a huge franchise. Need camping gear? Go here!
Met a nice young man there, willing to talk to an older lady he was very nice and informative. We talked about go bags. Then he showed me a nice food product that is great for the go bag, and tasty too as he'd tried it himself. So now I have to get it!
I was in Millets, Birkenhead yesterday. I was served by Mi Mi the manager. I was very impressed by the service I received nothing was too much trouble. Mi Mi went out if her way to help me I purchased gift vouchers Xmas presents for my grandchildren, they came in a lovely green wallet. I would highly recommend the service I received. A great place to shop.
Just bought some ladies walking trousers walking leggings. I was served by Chris over from the Liverpool branch and Freddie both were extremely helpful and I felt they were excellent in sorting products and ordering and item on line for home delivery. I received a pair of walking boots I ordered on line only on Sunday excellent service again and much cheaper than your competitors. Thank you
Went in the Birkenhead store on 2nd July with my Mumwho bought a coat also, with no intentions of but is pleased she didThe staff are super helpful especially Mimi,who ordered my coat to be delivered as they didn't have my colour in-store. Thank all the staff for me please and a massive thanks to Mimi for her help.xx ps I love my yellow coat!

I'm a fan of Millets in Birkenhead, probably because despite it being small it's the only proper outdoors & adventure store in the precinct. Yes it carries limited stock lines & you will not find tents or much actual camping equipment here but when it comes to outdoors clothing & footwear you stand a chance....hence the reason I was in Millets today to find a new pair of trail 's. But where is the service Millets⁉ As on entering the store I was acknowledged by one of the two‍ assistant's stood behind the till downstairs in the clothing part of the store."I'll send someone up" they stated as I then made my way up the stairs to the first floor & the decent sized shoe section. Here over the next 10-15 minutes of browsing I found several pairs which I decided I would like to try on for size.This being the reason I like to shop in person for shoes & not on line. But then to my dismay I find myself sitting around for nearly 20 minutes waiting for a shoe assistant as promised. No one came & after making my way downstairs again I find the same two assistants‍ chatting away behind the till...."He'll be with you shortly if you want to go back up" I'm told ... No thanks I got a life to live & I've just wasted a good 1/2 hour + of it in here...⌛Goodbye.
I'm so sad Millets, is closing down here. I got a brilliant Peter Storm coat, from Millets today 9 pockets!!!, which is perfect for my dog walking needs. Just been on the beach and it's done the job of keeping me warm and dry. The staff were very helpful and I got an amazing discount, the shop feels a bit run down, but there are lots of bargains to be had. Definitely worth a visit before it goes.
Went in a couple of days ago and was taking a few minutes deciding between 2 hats when I realised I had 2 members of staff literally breathing down my neck. Clearly I gave the impression I was likely to stuff one of the hats in my bag and run out setting the alarms off. I complained at the till as I still bought the hat I liked but declined attempts to upsell. Won't be shopping in there again.
Great shop once again came to the rescue with alight waight jacket for the rain. Many thanks Mi Mi for getting the right size at a great price.
