Been served by charlotte tonight, charlotte is new and she gave nothing but best service to me and my partner, it was actually my partners birthday so we decided to vome back here again. Charlotte just made our night extra special by being super friendly and making us feel so welcome, its also lovely to see younest gave good hosting skills and communticating as allot dont these days, charlotte thankyou for making our night extra special
If you visit here, I hope you are served by Bertrand because he is fantastic. The food was great, especially our steaks with the beef dripping sauce. It's well worth the price tag, and we'll certainly visit again.
A upper market steak joint, was expecting high things as it had a dress code which wasn't enforced as someone sat opposite us in a full football kit. Service was SLOW like 1h 45mins to get our mains, that was not good. Steaks and sides were ok, certainly didn't rock my world which at the price was disappointing I actually had to add salt...how does that happen. All in all average total experience. Possibly not worth the price tag. And if you are going to have rules...you should enforce them.
Steaks weren't as good as expected. Medium rare was medium and medium was medium/well no red at all. Chips served separately in an oversized cup which sinks to the bottom if you try and eat from the cup. Service was good although slow to get a dessert over half an hour. Two, 3 course set menue and one drink each - over £86, not cheap and definitely had better steak elsewhere. Was busy for a Thursday night so seems popular.
Lovely meal this evening, our first time at Miller & Carter, Taunton.nOur server Bertrand was very attentive & made sure we were happy with everything.nFood was very good!nOnly issue is another couple were seated very close to us, midway through our meal, when there were plenty of other tables available in the restaurant, they weren’t happy either, it was like our table for 2 had now become a table for 4, it was awkward, but they were moved to another table & we did have a little laugh & discussion about how awkward that was! Will come back as we like the food at Miller & Carter restaurants & Taunton is our closest.
