Dirty Dancing in Derry! The last of our tour in Ireland. What a cracker of a city to be in. I love it completely. Absolutely beautiful. Top five for me so far. This theatre staff is some of the most conscientious in our business. From the top to the bottom you’re getting help from staff here. Thank you so much You made Derry for me
Was disappointed that alcohol was permitted to be consumed during the panto. I was there with my son, and people in the row behind us were drunk and chatted amongst themselves during the full performance. It was like being a live showing of goggle box!! The panto was amazing and well done to all involved. Sadly, I missed some of the jokes and one-liners due to noise from behind. Also, a drink was dropped over the edge of the upper circle. We were in the splash zone of that also. The staff found it very hard to control. One male staff member had to ask the same person three times to put their mobile phone away.. I understand people are out to enjoy themselves over Christmas but I don't think panto is the place for alcohol. Maybe consider doing an adult only session..
Many thanks to Chris from the Millennium Forum at tonight's Nutcracker performance. I had booked tickets for the upper circle but after arriving found it really difficult with my anxiety and fear of heights and became really overwhelmed. At the break he managed to get me a seat in a lower area so I could stay and enjoy the rest of the performance. Thanks for being such a gentleman and coming back to check I was OK.
I have been to this amazing theatre serval times. More recently, I have to see the show Factory Girls set in 1964 unbelievable talented people musical the audience was clapping up dancing at their chairs. I did no matter what pain I was physically in, like a lot of other people, all age groups. Definitely helped my mental health and emotional well-being issues and mobility issues. Made to feel welcome from entrance to where your seats were. I also go here once a month for a new drama group to help with my mental health with highly experienced facilators meeting with trained actors to achieve positive outcomes to put a play on ourselves. I would highly recommend it if you live in the town or visit my hometown, Derry Northern Ireland x also local stalls where I purchased items hand made detailing the factory Girls.
Great show , and no real crowds during the interval. Comfy seats and a good view
