Some of the best chips in the county, decent portion sizes, but can get busy and the serve in order as in, if someone places a very large order that takes a lot of time to prepare, you can be waiting 25 minutes when you only wanted a portion of chips whilst they completely fulfill or previous orders when you could have been in your way.nnAlso cash only.nnBut still a great chippy and happily go back
45 mins for pie&chips, and 2 savaloysnThe savaloys were disgusting like a grey colour not pink. The chips were dry and tasted of oil. The only half decent thing was the pie but that just goes in the microwave so near on impossible to ruin. I won’t be going back. I’m sure it only gets busy because it’s the only chippy for few miles!
Excellent fish and chips. It was very busy on the Saturday we went so we had to wait a while, but that just goes to show it's popular. Best fish I've had in a while. Would definitely go again.
I ordered fish and chips along with onion rings, chicken nuggets and prawn nuggets — and everything was excellent. The fish had a beautiful golden batter that was crisp without being greasy, and the chips were perfectly cooked. The onion rings were crunchy and well-seasoned, the chicken nuggets were tender inside with a lovely crisp coating, and the prawn nuggets were flavourful and cooked just right. Generous portions and great quality throughout. A well-deserved five-star review!
Despite ordering ahead hr , still had to wait 30 minutes . This is a take away , food is excellent , plenty of it , and a friendly atmosphere , ordering ahead is a complete waste of time , and there is always a queue . A victim of their own success .
