Cracking chippy, really nice staff and good value. Chips were great, fish was a wee bit greasy but still ok. White pudding got two thumbs up. Worth a visit if you're passing by and don't want to cook.
Dreadful, I asked for a fish supper and got HALF a fish with a handful of chips - did not realise until I sat down at home to eat them. Have been disappointed before with this place, the breaded fish was so overcooked it was like shrapnel and at other times the fish/batter is so soggy - I think it depends on who is cooking - the place is apparently run by teenagers which is fine, but they need to be taught how to fry fish and chips! will not be going back despite it only being a few yards from my home.
Don't even want to give this place a review. Went in and ordered 2 quarter pounder cheese burgers with cheese, first of all.. the customer service wasn't the best. I took one bite out of the burger and got a burst of oil. I literally had to squeeze the burger as there was so much oil pouring out! 'Disgusting' I will never come back to this place! I wouldn't recommend it, and I paid £6.10 for single cheese burger no chips! Paying that price for just a wee bit of meat slapped on and a load of oil. If you want to eat oil then this is the place for you!
Not the best chip shop you'll ever try but not the worst either. Worth seeing all the things on the menu they can deep fry. Ice cream isn't bad. Take away or eat in.
Gone downhill drastically since being sold by Miele's. Went in tonight for sit down service. Ordered chicken fillets, Pineapple fritter and some onion rings. No longer do pineapple fritters, you must have chips with the chicken fritters, and minimum order of 10 onion rings. Pot of tea for 3 only provided 2 and a half cups, had to ask for extra tea. The new owner was working at the counter, hair untied and in outdoor clothing fleece top which is extremely dangerous in a kitchen with naked flames and hot oil. Definitely won't be back anytime soon. Such a pity as the chipper has been there for over 80 years. Mr Miele, I'm annoyed you sold it!
Had fish and chips, very good. The fish was excellent and the batter crispy.
Staff were bloody miserable, meal wasnt hot and the chips were soggy. Asked for only salt but ended up with vinegar on some as the next person asked for vinegar and they didnt think to separate the dishes.
Best fish and chips in the world between 1965 - 1975 when I was Stationed at RAF Kinloss.
Great food, friendly staff and good service. Thoroughly enjoyable and nice fish.
Moldie chips fully bathed is grese oil thanks a lot
