It is a very lovely place in Canterbury, a small coffee shop that is easy to fall in love with. I had a double espresso, for £2.60, and every penny worth for it: strong, tasty, well roasted. They also have cakes, which have good taste as well. Micro Roastery has a very friendly atmosphere, but aware: as its name shows you, this is a small coffee shop. A few tables on the ground floor, and some seating in the upstairs.
I drink a lot of coffee and review most of the places I visit. The coffee in here is superb, probably some of the best coffee I have had
Good service. Good coffee. Good cake. All things good. They are very understanding of those of us with caffeine sensitivity who have annoying order preferences half and half decaf, for example. Highly recommended. Also their freshly roasted coffee is great for brewing stout beers with, if that's one of your talents.
We had our first visit here in December 2022 when Christmas shopping, coffee was the best I have ever had. I have had coffee all over the world and by far it's the best. We live about 25 miles away and come just for the coffee. Great thing is you can bring your dog.
I have been many times before and usually have a 5 star experience, but sadly this occasion let me down. The usually smooth, silky filter coffee was too strong/bitter and the staff member who served me was clearly just done for the day and clearly on edge/looked knackered. Micro Roastery - You are a gem of a coffee place but to be even more perfect, could you pay your staff a little more or give them more break times to help avoid this in future? :
Excellent coffee, and a great selection of beans to take home. Which I do, regularly! Nice vegan sausage roll and chocolate cake too. No vegan sandwich yet? but that’s my only unfulfilled wish.
A wonderful coffee nook in the city. Very warm people and great space to have a cup of coffee. Espressos to die for and all kinds of filter coffees from all over the world for you to take home and brew. They have a small and cozy outdoor space which is open right now. Cannot wait for the interior space to open so I can experience it's full warmth. They also sell all kinds of coffee gear of you're keen to pick some up.
First time visiting Canterbury yesterday and came across this lovely place. Coffee was fantastic, staff were friendly and the cakes were to die for! Would highly recommend.
My favourite coffee shop in Canterbury - have been going there for years. The owner is passionate about coffee and has travelled to many all? of the coffee producing countries that supply Micro Roastery with beans. Great coffee made in the shop, especially if made by Nick himself! And a good range of snacks, too.
Unfriendly staff, uncleared tables, burnt flat white, the driest banana bread I've ever had and an average black coffee. I'm confused why this place scores so well, outwardly it appears to have all the right signs of keen coffee lovers but the execution is terrible, I hate to say it but I might have done better to go to Costa.
