I sincerely had a beautiful experience at Mayfair Court from start to finish, despite my specific preferences regarding my accommodation! The management consistently prioritised my satisfaction, and nothing beats an intentional team, really. I found the open-door policy, efficient maintenance and communication system particularly commendable. I highly recommend Mayfair Court to any student seeking a comfortable home while studying!
Accommodation - move in day was such a disappointment. What should have been a happy day was the complete opposite. It was nothing like the photos on the website for sure. Damaged blinds and furniture. Mouse in the house trap, also silver finish. List was endless. Overall 1 star Communication - to start with was very poor, but one day Alex answered the phone and from then on we got sorted with all of the obstacles we faced. He kept me in the loop on everything. Went out of his way to get answers we needed with a re-let. Hes a credit to their team. Overall 5 stars all Alex!
Generally tired and shabby accommodation heavily over-priced with poor responses to maintenance requests. Recommend avoid this accommodation. It is not Manchester Met Uni certified and were it to be so they could exercise some input over the excessive rents.
AVOID THIS PLACE. Rooms don't look anything like the pictures, and on moving in day you'll most likely receive broken/damaged furniture and a dirty room. This was the case with myself and almost every other tenant I spoke to. I've seen recent google reviews where Mezzino have responded trying to justify any complaints. I'd be wary of their responses as they've recently been advertising an Open Day for this accom on Facebook. It seems they are trying to paint a false picture that they care about complaints to try to encourage prospective tenants to book a room with them. However there are poor reviews from a year before making the same complaints, so if Mezzino genuinely took these issues seriously, they wouldn't still be receiving these same criticisms a year later from new tenants. Do not make the same mistake we did, there are better accommodations that are lower priced and actually look like their pictures. Looking forward to see what dishonest response I receive from Mezzino regarding this.
The worst accomodation I have ever seen in my life. The worst management team. Firstly, the night before our check in the manager of the accommodation send an email saying they still haven’t cleaned the place and we should expect broken and damaged utilities, and they will all be fixed and cleaned within a week. My flatmates and I checked into a total MESS. We couldn’t stay the nights for the first week until WE cleaned the house. It’s been a month now and still we haven’t seen any cleaners, deep cleaning the house, and NO MAINTENANCE, and I must mention the list of broken stuff is LONG.
I never write bad reviews usually but me and my flat mate have had a terrible experience the entirety of our year at Mayfair Court. Firstly, as soon as we moved in we quickly discovered a mouse infestation that has still not been sorted or even bothered with after numerous complaints and maintenance requests. The staff use the same excuse every time and nothing actually gets sorted. Me and my flat mate have had to spend half of our time at home because the mice started coming into our bedrooms which is completely unhygienic and unacceptable. The flats themselves are dark and dingy, nothing like the show flats we were initially shown. I honestly would avoid this place at all costs it is over priced and they think that they can get away with it because we are students. Please avoid.
The WORST place I’ve lived throughout my 3 years at university and the first year was pretty hard to top. I currently live at Mayfair Court and from the day I moved in it was full of red flags. The first being the pictures online look absolutely nothing like what you get in person they’re vastly different with the pictures advertising nice looking newly furnished apartments. What you get is a dated, dark, dingy apartment with little space and poor quality furniture and appliances. Secondly, the day I was moving in I requested access to the car park so I could empty my car of all of my belongings and move my stuff in more easily, to be told absolutely not it’s against company policy and there is not a chance I would be given any access for any period of time without paying the monthly amount for a parking space, which isn’t actually needed by the way as there is street parking, which they obviously fail to mention before you pay for the car park. Thirdly, there are a number of problems we have had since moving in in September that have still to this day not been fixed, the shower being one of them, lifting floors, lights not working, the fridge breaking all of our food going off, but they wouldn’t reimburse any of our costs as they ‘gave us a fridge within 24 hours’ which was actually out of their staff room and contained other peoples food, last night our electricity shut off as the toaster tripped the fuse, to which we couldn’t turn back on as the fuse box is locked in a cupboard in the apartment that we do not have access to meaning we had to call out of hours staff due to the office being shut which were unhelpful and clueless. All of these problems stated above have been reported to maintenance on the online portal which states all of these jobs have been ‘completed’ when no one has ever been to fix any of them and we have had them since sepetember. The members of staff are rude, have a cocky attitude, are reluctant to help anyone, give the same excuses everytime an issue is addressed ‘it’s company policy’. Their own members of staff are leaving positive reviews to make it appear as a nice place to live, which couldn’t be further from the truth, the bedroom doors do not lock so unless you know and trust your flat mate, you could have some issues there. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS, the room rates are extortionate for what you get and the hassle of living with multiple problems for them to not be fixed for months does not amount to the price you pay and the rude attitude you get when reporting problems. WASTE OF MONEY, NOT STUDENT FRIENDLY, POOR QUALITY, RUDE MEMBERS OF STAFF, I’d give 0 stars if I could.
My son and his friend have lived at Mayfair Court since September. Anyone thinking of student accommodation in Manchester should have a good look at this place. I have experience in student accommodation all over the UK I have a commercial carpet cleaning business and have cleaned carpets in thousands of halls etc. I can honestly say this is head and shoulders above the standard halls. Student accommodation is usually very grubby but this works as it is 1, 2 or max 3 people per flat. It is clean and tidy in common areas. Jordan and Ian are very approachable and if you want to ask any questions before you move in just ring them I must have rung about 20 times with questions before letting my son move in. Wetherspoons downstairs is full of students.
I have lived at this accommodation for 3 years now! I have nothing but great stuff to say. The staff have always treated us with care and always looked after us on a personal level even though there is loads of tenants they have to care for. The maintenance man Alan is always so happy to help and puts everybody first which has always been appreciated by me and my friends. The location is perfect lots of places to eat and drink that are always busy and full of friendly faces. There is also lots of shops including a huge sainsburys. It also never feels far from town when there is a bus stop on your door step that has buses into town nearly every 15 minutes. The flats have always been in great conditions every year, everything clean and new. Anyone that is thinking about staying here I would strongly recommend it. I have always felt at home and safe here which is a very important when you are in a new city finding your feet.
I've lived at Mayfair Court for 2 years now. Great accommodation in a great location and would recommend to anyone who is looking to live here. Staff are very friendly and attentive - whenever there are any issues it is sorted promptly. It really has been the perfect accommodation whilst studying at University.
