DO NOT USE THEM Wish I read more of the reviews before calling this company out to clean blocked guttar. Spoke to someone night before who said someone would be out by 12pm and would get call in morning to confirm time, which I didn't, somebody showed up at 1pm...parked in a different street cause of no parking...when he could of double parked...it was a service vehicle with flashing lights...when came round with van he scrapped one of parked cars. He did manage to clear the blockage which took less than 30 secs. He then asked me for a brush cause he didn't have in van as apparently it was a new van and didn't have all the stuff then he asked me to fill a bucket of water as he had no water left in van...now when you come to a job you make sure you come with all the tools for the job...he said he could fill up water from hydrant which was right outside property but he said it is a 2 person job....which I find hard to believe. I called office to complain person I spoke to was rude and said they are not a clean up company... writing on side of van and website says high pressure clearing....now from this you would expect any gutter mess to also be cleaned....guy on phone did say he could fill up from hydrant but person out said he couldn't two person job..office said something else....also heard some language from the guy that was out. Overall not happy with service..I will say thanks for clearing blockage but next time come to job with full tools. ...also if you are not a cleaning company why did guy ask me for a brush and water before i called office...waste of time.WILL NOT BE USING.
Fantastic service when I had a blocked drain. Prompt response and John was an absolute credit to the company with his knowledge, expertise and humour.
Got Metro Rod to identify drainage for new en-suite to hook up to, to help builder connect drainage and save time digging outdoors. They advertised we can locate to 2cm? They asked if they could come early because of a cancellation. I said ok to help them out, arrived, then said needed to have the toilet removed so they can run the camera and probe through pipes, I asked the builder came earlier to help. Builder removed toilet the engineer from Metro Rod started the probing, after a few minutes said there is a bend and he cant force his camera further as it might get stuck, I asked him to have a look outdoors at other drains to put in the camera and probe. Said they are to thin needs another type of camera they don't have and basically no-one has? Its an extra. Got billed for 2 hours £200, none the wiser, the engineer was mostly sitting in his van. I complained about this. They said I shouldn't have accepted the earlier timeslot, and they need to hire another camera and book another visit for £300, they replied we don't know until we visit what is required? My builder commented they seem to be amateurs, and don't have the latest kit. Would not recommend them for camera surveys of drains. Be warned!
I have nothing but great feedback for Metro Rod Glasgow. Caroline contacted me within 5 hours of me logging an online query; she arranged for Ian to come out the following day to assist with removing 13 rods that were stuck in our drain. Ian completed the job in around 30 minutes Other companies tried to propose an unnecessary full excavation, which would have cost at least 5/6 times the amount we paid. One specific company to AVOID AT ALL COSTS Quick Drain Clear spent 30 mins sending a camera down, only to advise me I needed a full excavation and still charged us £70 without any notification of potential charges. Metro Rod went above and beyond our expectations and I would highly recommend them.
I had called out Dynorod to a drain blockage 2 weeks ago, they did unblock the drain albeit partially, but it blocked up again. I then called metrorod in glasgow. Absolutely brilliant, the operator sourced the fault, flushed the blockage through and then put a camera up the drain to show me exactly where the fault was. John, the operator, explained the problems, marked out on the drive where the fault was so that I could get my pal to renew the collapsed drain. A brilliant service all round, from first phone call, to making the payment.
Excellent customer service from initial call to completion. Despite discovering the issue on a Saturday morning & no available appointments until the next day, they managed to put us through to speak to an engineer who agreed to fit us in after his current jobs. Jason appeared sooner than expected and very quickly identified the problem & resolved the issue a blockage in the main drain, efficiently & professionally. Will definitely use this company again should the need arise and have no hesitation in recommending their services.
This company were called out by my insurance company after a few plumbers could not solve the problem. We had a problem with a blocked drain. After several visits, we had partial drainage. Metrorod said if I had any other problems, I needed to go to the water board. Last week my sink blocked up again, only this time over flowing and ruining my kitchen floor. I called the water board. They checked the main drains, and pointed out it was my internal drains. Out again for Metrorod. They start lifting slabs looking for my outside trap. They could not find it. I asked about putting a camera down to look. I was told they did not have one to fit down household drains. Now if you read the website, you will form a different opinion. Metrorod left saying they would need to get my insurance company to OK them hiring a camera. After 2 days they submit a quote, which is cleared by my insurance company for them to hire a camera to locate the problem. Today they turn up..........I ask them if they got the camera OK. .........he replies " what camera"........when I run through the whole story again, he says the cameras are no good. He says they can get lost in The drains. This company offers drain surveys for goodness sake. With state of the art equipment, according to the website. He says he is going to just start digging up the garden hoping to find the problem. Now by this time I am really annoyed. I told them I was fed up with the runaround. He starts to tell me that he is going to put it down as a collapsed pipe which I will need to sort myself as it is up to me. He has no idea what my insurance covers. Next thing I get is a phone call from my insurance company to say I was being abusive and they felt threatened. Lol, they will do anything to get out of fixing the problem. I asked them to leave as I didn't want them to feel threatened at work. The other guy asked me what I was on about, I explained I had been reported to metrorod Glasgow office. He laughed and said your joking. I said nope, your friend is not happy with me, and asked him to leave. After all of this, I now have someone in within 3 hours of them leaving, who has identified the problem within 5 min of entering the house using the right equipment. The drains will be dug up and repaired, paid for in full by my insurance company. Avoid this company at all costs. The best thing I have done in months, is throw them out of my house.
Apalling amateurs. Misdiagnosing faults, quoting for work that isn’t required & failing to communicate. Never use this company to carry out drainage work. Told us we needed thousands of pounds of work done on a drain that wasn’t faulty. You’d get more sense out of super mario bros. We sought a second opinion from a rival firm drainfix who found the fault & fixed it.
Fantastic, very fast response. John the engineer went above and beyond the call of duty and was so friendly and reassuring and Caroline's call to me before and after the job was a really nice personal touch. Would highly recommend them!
Had blockage in my drain causeing major flooding in my house so I called out Metrorod as they have a 24/7 call out service Paul and Ryan aka THE A TEAM turned up quickly and professionally cleared the blockage and cleaned up all the spillage caused by the blockage very good company and would highly recommend them to any one in need of Help with drainage issues thanks again to Paul and Ryan great enginners
