Went to see WWE Live just now and by lord it was epic. The staff were friendly and were super interested in what I had enjoyed and will happily come again when the timing is right.
It's been a long time since I last visited Newcastle arena about 20 years + since I saw my first ever concert here & the venue was smaller than I remembered. Pretty decent facilities & a great atmosphere though. James Blunt was amazing & we had a brilliant night. We parked in Grainger car park which was a little bit further away than some of the car parks but only a 5-10 minute walk, we got out quickly as most people had used closer ones & it cost less than a fiver too & we arrived at about 4pm.
We went to see James on our return from Northumberland. I wouldn't normally review an arena. However, this was really nice, we were there early and the gents didn't stink. All the floors were clean. The cleaning staff were great, the 'Showsec' staff were the friendliest and most helpful I've ever come across.
I came for a concert with a seated ticket in section 217 row W seat 404 and had a great view. I can’t complain about the seats but it would be better if drinks weren’t as expensive and if there was a better system for buying merch. Something like barriers to create distinct cues or more staff could help - I missed half of the opener waiting 40 minutes for merch. Great venue with incredible speakers.
First time at the Arena, well organised entry, plenty of food and drink outlets, queues were pretty short. Seating was well spaced with plenty of legroom. It was a stand-up comedy night and the Audio Visual features were good. Really enjoyed it!
I went to see Girls Aloud here 2 months and god it was big. Extra security after Cheryl was nearly pulled off the stage on the first Night
Another fantastic, amazing, and spiritually uplifting convention of jehovahs witnesses. Sadly, time went by so fast, but the love expressed there from the spiritual family was overwhelming and a small taste of the new world A Huge thank you to all the utilita staff that was involved, very much appreciated their efforts and hard work in making it an enjoyable time too
Venue is awful. The hard plastic seats are about big enough to get one bum cheek on and no leg room. Bill Bailey was superb however. And beer at £8.50 a pint well you’d have to be insane to pay that
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for one of your staff members, whose name I believe was either Nixon or Dixon, who assisted us during the Niall Horan concert. His exceptional care and support truly made a world of difference for my family, and I wanted to ensure that his efforts are recognized. This was my sister's first concert, and as she has autism, we were quite concerned about how she would handle the experience. From the moment we arrived, Nixon/Dixon went above and beyond to ensure that the evening was enjoyable and comfortable for her. His patience, understanding, and willingness to go the extra mile were truly remarkable. It was clear to us that he genuinely cares about the people he assists, and his actions made what could have been a stressful night into a positive and memorable one for my sister. Thanks to him, she left the concert happy and excited, which means more to us than we can say. He is a true credit to your team and the entire arena. I wanted to share our experience and make sure that his excellent work does not go unnoticed.
Size: 5/5 Price: 3/5 Concessions: 3/5 Parking: yes Disabled access: yes Absolutely love this arena but it has gotten super expensive over the last few years. My favourite thing here would be the hot doughnuts. A must whenever I visit. We recently went to see Busted and it was absolutely amazing. There is a small amount of parking and several multi storey car parks nearby. It was horrid trying to get parking nearby however, even well over an hour before the doors were due to open so we opted to park a bit further away and walk there. It was pretty quick and efficient getting into the building though the amount of people made it difficult to move about inside. There definitely needs to be some kind of queueing system for merchandise as well because it was ridiculous how long we stood there and how many people jumped the queue and were served before we were. Not to mention how long we were ignored for at the front of the desk. Other than that, it was a fab night and we had a great time!
