"Metro Lounge is a bit of a people-place. On Hill Avenue, just off the centre of Amersham, we’ve big full width windows running along the front that open right out with a sprinkling of outside chairs and tables, so we’re perfect for people watching. We’ve a fantastic range of food and drinks including full kids, gluten free and vegan menus, served in a relaxed, laid back environment where everyone is welcome. With a great mix of families, kids and older folk, it really feels like we’re part of the community, helped a little by our collection of old Lounge Family photos, from Robot Alex to our Hurrah Swimmer and everyone in between. Our family may be a little eccentric, but it’s a happy one!"

The place has a lovely atmosphere, very pleasant for the family meal. We had a selection of different food. Eggs Benedict, soup of the day and a burger for the little one. We all enjoyed the food but wasn't mind blowing. The place is let down unfortunately by the staff, they show little to no interest in there job or serving the customer.Give yourself plenty of time as they don't get the food out quickly at all....
Had a lovely meal this evening. The burgers we had were yummy and they catered for my friends allergies. Staff were very friendly as service was quick. We will definitely be returning!
Such a cute and colorful place! Food was DELICIOUS and the staff members are really friendly!
Staff were very helpful and tried to accommodate us. It was my friends birthday and they came out and sang happy birthday much to her chagrin haha. Food was good, we didn't have to wait forever and a day, decent portion sizes, for the price you pay. Lovely atmosphere, and overall great experience.
My daughter and me not expecting to stopping here, luckily we did! Wonderful and clean place, lovely staff and so delicious food! We will come back for sure
Very pleasant cafe about 3 minutes walk from the station, with good food my fellow guests have told me & very pleasant chocolate fudge cake at reasonable prices. We sat down for a little while waiting for service, to be told that service was at the counter, or via a website!, which wasn't obvious. Food was delivered to the table in good time and was plentiful & tasty. Would visit again.
Lovely quirky decor and the full English breakfast was very good. Good portions and nice non-catering sausages. Their separate gluten free menu was a nice change and was extensive. However, when we asked for two items to be removed from one of the breakfasts and then asked if we could have extra mushrooms to take the place of the two items we had removed we were told we would have to pay extra! Why? The place felt a bit short staffed, no-one came to check if the food was OK and we were left chatting over empty plates for quite a while before we left. A shame because apart from that it was a nice place.
The Metro Lounge is great and one of the best places for breakfast in this area. I got the cooked English breakfast, which was huge. This place is very clean and the staff here are super attentive. The drinks here are also great. I would highly recommend the Metro Lounge and will be back myself when I am next in the area. Dietary restrictions: The staff are very aware of what is in their food.
The food took 50 minutes to come out, the young waitress was extremely lovely however the manager was rude. When we asked where the food was as we had been waiting almost an hour, the manger on duty was snarky and quite rude with her response. There is clearly not enough staff however the manager could have easily just given us the heads up that food may take some time. When the food came out it was cold and over cooked. We saw numerous plates being sent back. Parking: Parking is also quite difficult
My daughter and I had such a lovely time. Great food lovely staff especially a lady with pink tipped hair who made us feel so welcome and as if we had known her for years. She had the perfect balance of super welcoming but allowed you to enjoy your meal. It has a relaxed atmosphere but food was served promptly. They have an entire yummy vegan menu aswell-awesome!!! Definitely coming back and already have recommended to friends.
