The correct address for St Mary the Virgin is Church End or Butlins Lane, Roade, Northamptonshire, NN7 2PU, or NN7 2NP. This is a delightful very well preserved C12 and C13 church of England Church. North aisle of 1850 by E.F. Law who restored the chancel in 1857 and the nave in 1864. The vestry/organ chamber were added in 1879. The church has an outstanding set of bells which are played one Sunday morning in the month at approximately 10.15. They are a very friendly and happy congregation who are very helpful and welcoming to all newcomers whatever age. The acoustics are superb for singing and the morning service gives ample time for hymn singing and prayer. On the last Sunday in the month they have an organist that plays the magnificent pipe organ, the rest of the time they use a synthesizer.
