Paying so much more for the "river cruise" is a disgrace, when all you want to do is go from one port to the next. All you get extra, is the hard to hear narrative and travel a few extra meters in the river. They miss an opportunity to do something so much better and worthwhile. At Liverpool port they have a Beatles souvenir shop!! what about the ferry, what about Liverpool, Birkenhead, Wallasey and the places they described. The Beatles disbanded over 40 years ago and there is a special attraction for them in the city. They should be promoting the whole and not a small part of the region.

Nice trip on the ferry with my son. Interesting commentary on local buildings and their history as we sailed round. Each ferry terminal has their own excellent attractions. Bit expensive for a regular commute but worth while to do once in a while or if visiting the area.

A good means of crossing the Mersey when site seeing or shopping in Liverpool. Free large car parking facilities available at Birkenhead with good cafe facilities in the waiting area . Toilet facilities. Drinks bar and snacks bar available on board ferry. Quick and regular crossing to select. Last crossing back to Birkenhead makes dining in Liverpool rather early for some people. A good alternative to driving through the tunnel and having to pay for car parking.

Misty wet and cold - February - sat in the warm and had a coffee. Enjoyable hour. Didn't get off - couldn't be bothered. Ticket also includes entry to the U-boat experience.

Enjoyed my trip on the ferry very much and was a very reasonable price for a round trip. If not a hot day best to wrap up warm gets very cold and windy out on the mersey.
