Firstly I had to give one star otherwise I couldn't post the review. Very disappointed with this company's customer service and build quality. I have lived in my house for ten years and shortly after moving in I noticed the extractor fan vent hadn't been drilled through the external wall. I advised Mersea Homes of the problem and rectified it myself. During the first year the the mixer tap in the kitchen failed, widow locks have failed which I was able to replace as the site was still live and the window fitter gave me a couple of replacements, more have failed since. The internal door latches have failed, the french doors have dropped and the brickwork has cracked for a second time at the rear of the building. Mersea Homes did send someone round to re-point it the first time but now I am outside of NHBC and Mersea Homes warranty period I will have to make good the pointing myself. What has prompted this review is the roof vents have leaked and Mersea homes couldn't even be bothered to call me back after four days to say they are not interested in coming round to inspect the installation of of the vent ducting; Which had been left to hang in a u shape not allowing the water to drain to the soil stack. It has been leaking for a long time and dissolved the plasterboard in the ceilings of the bathroom and en-suit. So if you are thinking of purchasing a Mersea Homes Home get up in the loft and check the workmanship because if it fails after two years you probably will not get any customer service. Luckily for me my neighbour allowed me in to his loft space and he has the same problem too. We are looking to move soon but never to another Mersea Home!

We have been very impressed with the service we have received so far from Mersea Homes and specifically Angela and Amanda. Whatever questions or queries we have had they have always come back to us promptly and gone above and beyond to help us secure our new family home. Buying a house can be stressful at the best of times and new builds especially, but we have not been pressured and we look forward to seeing our house develop and soon move in. The quality of the build is different to other large firms and we are confident it is built to last. It is evident that a lot of thought has gone in to our development and its infrastructure and you can also see this with previous estates they have built.

The customer service has been fantastic! 
We fell in love with a new home on the chesterwell woods site and Amanda, Angela and the Mersea Homes team have supported us and have been patient and understanding with all our needs. 
Nothing has been too much trouble and we have not felt pressured into make quick decisions. We are so grateful to everyone at Mersea Homes, for assisting us in finding our dream home!
