3rd time staying here. As always, staff were great. Incredibly polite and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, I'm vegetarian but they were super quick to cook some vegetarian sausages for me. Now the only mistake was dealt with in the morning and everyone was very helpful. And it is quite funny. I ordered a cheese and pickle sandwich from room service at midnight because nothing in Bridgwater is open after 10pm and I was hungry. And I did get a cheese and pickle sandwich... filled with sliced gherkin pickles. Not what I expected! I didn't want to say anything that night because they'd clearly tried and I didn't want to ruin their evening. But when I spoke to the front desk in the morning, they refunded me and also found the funny side. Overall though, another great stay.
Central location. Check in was quick, I really liked the wooden room keycards, very funky. The rooms are modern, with all amenities you would expect. It is rather small, but OK. Bathroom was really good with an amazing shower. Parking is reasonable £10 per night and plenty of spaces. Would stay again!
Google maps sent us to the wrong place just as we approached looking for the carpark To enter the car park from the north turn right at the traffic lights. You will pass the street entrance front of the hotel and then take first left and you have arrived. Hotel lovely and clean. Got upgrade to Privilege room with balcony overlooking the town. Marco Pierre White is the hotel dining room! Nice. Food and drink great. Staff were amazing. Had a great time here. Many thanks
Booked a great deal via Groupon for Easter Sunday, including afternoon tea and breakfast. Would definitely stay again, already looking for end of May. Room was a lovely size, hotel nice. If I did have one criticism, the cooked breakfast wasn't overly hot, still enjoyable all the same.
Very nice hotel and ideal location, the only reason I have given 3 stars is due to the fact they charge around £10 per vehicle for parking per night. There isn't much alternative parking available near by either. But that aside very nice hotel with a short walk into town for a selection or bars and restaurantsRooms: 5/5
Room was nice clean and up to date. Very good shower. Girl at reception was very friendly and competent. Dinner was OK, breakfast was average, don't bother with the coffee.Rooms: 4/5
This was the second time we have stayed at the Mecure hotel, & it was more pleasant than the first time we stayed. The receptionist were extremely helpful & polite even late into the night and they weren't overbearing. The room was clean, tidy & we found the fridge in the room extremely useful. There is also other added extras available if you want other services. This hotel definitely represents it's 4 star rating.
Second time here for Afternoon Tea, service & staff are excellent. The food is lovely, sandwiches, 4 flavours, scones with cream & jam & 3 types of lovely cake. Parking is easy, access is suitable for anyone disabled. Highly recommended
This was our first visit to the mercure Hotel bridgewater 29/4/23.What a fabulous hotel .The staff were friendly from reception through to waiter / waitress service .Very quiet hotel we slept well . We had afternoon tea for two, the sandwiches were fresh and tasty the breakfast the following morning was one of the best breakfast we've had in a long time in any hotel we've been, i asked for vegetarian sausages and they quickly cooked me two which again was the best vegetarian sausage I've had .we arrived early and was told we could book in as our room was ready .Definitely stay in this hotel when we visit bridgewater again ,also recommend it to my friends and family members.£10 per car for 24 hours for on site parking, but there is an alternative parking across the road which is £4 for 24 hrs paid for in the hotel and use the reserve parking bays for the hotel , we had no problem with our parking.
