Good spot. The food was very tasty. One of the best toasties I've had in a while and the tomato soap was unreal, too. The menu is not massive, but thats not always a bad thing.Food: 4/5
Truly excellent coffee and toasties & GLUTEN FREE BREAD AVAILABLE!!. staff were very friendly and accommodating. Also there’s some really cool artwork and just 10/10 vibes, will probably go back tomorrow…Recommended dishesHey Pesto
Fantastic sandwich for the price. The Hey Presto was a delightful sandwich with a unique twist. They also offer free tap water, which is not always the case at restaurants in downtown Dublin.Recommended dishesHey Pesto
One of the best toasties you're going to get, as simple as that! Staff were nice and friendly, chilled vibe, delicious food. Would definitely give another toastie a go on any return to Dublin.Food: 5/5
Super yummy cheesy goodness. The restaurant is decorated with many lovely details and offers a welcoming atmosphere. The service is quick, nice and gives great recommendations!
Travel October 2022-we landed in Dublin after a very long flight, and we were starving but where we were staying there were mostly restaurants or places which were closed during the day. Meltdown is a very straightforward cafe, and we noticed there’s a wine bar upstairs for nighttime. It seemed like we arrived after the lunch rush, as a few tables hadn’t been bussed yet and had dishes from previous customers. We ordered two sandwiches, and they came out in around 10 minutes; delicious! One was a grilled cheese with mac n’ cheese, and the other was a smoked/grilled meat sandwich. The chai was creamy and hot, and we left feeling full and happy.
Cheese toasties, done right. I had the just cheese and my partner had the cajun chicken. They were both outstanding. Nice coffee here too.Food: 5/5
Gets busier around lunchtime but the service is pretty quick. Food is okay really and the atmosphere is cool.Recommended dishesDietary restrictions accommodatedVegetarian, Vegan, Gluten freeRecommendation for vegetariansHighly recommend
Would be cool if they took the time to melt the cheese. I asked if this was how it was supposed to be and the staff said yes which I’m pretty sure is a bold faced lie. Good flavors. Would be a 5 star if the cheese on both of our melts were melted
Best toasties in Dublin without a doubt! They also sell great cookies. No seating inside but there were small tables out on the street that were also dog friendly, there is a lot of foot traffic though so it’s not comfortable to sit outside. Maybe it is better to walk to St Stephens Green and eat there.
