First time here. It was a little dated inside but staff were very friendly showing me where they had their wheelchair friendly tables. I have never played bingo at this level. Only at Blackpool in one of the arcades. I found that they called the numbers out just a tad too quick and I found it difficult to keep up at times. My son kept trying to help me. I still managed a win of £23. No idea how I managed it though! I think I won it on the games where you put a £1. In the slots and the numbers are already on the table. Had a brilliant night and will definitely be going back!! Xxx
The seats are absolutely filthy. I feel the need to wash my clothes after a visit. Tonight my mum and I had to move seats and search for some with a semblance of cleanliness. I don't think I will visit again, I always leave feeling thoroughly dirty. Money not great sand the food certainly isn't.
Quite expensive considering the prize money. It's a long time since I have been to a bingo and there used to have a choice of a book of 2, 4, or 6. But I had to get books of 6 and waste the others. Tea and coffee ok. Didn't eat here though you can if you want. Also alcohol is served. Staff fine too. At least its local.
Bingo caller Ben didn't hear us call, yet everyone else did and when we tried to talk to him, I found him quite abrupt and dismissive but he did apologise which was appreciated and all was forgotten. The manager was really pleasant and was kind enough to solve our upset of not being heard with a free game of Bingo for us both. An older man who I remember from about 15 years ago was really pleasant also and doesn't seem to have changed. We won a couple of games and it was good to be out with my mum.
I always may i say we all enjoy mecca bingo halifax brilliant staff you can call friendly helpful and very funny. But yes But.... i have just heard that mecca Halifax is to close its doors for good. Its such a shame about this. Many people go to bingo. Young and old and really ejoy. Where will the older end of the bingo goers go if they cannot travel as far afield as Huddersfield.
All the team are fantastic, prizes not so good x why don't you have days where it is just paper then most of us could afford it and have more chance of winning then people who play boards who play multiple games all at once the Sam people who leave before latest xx
We all know what to expect from this budget hotel, although this specific Inn is one of the best I've stayed in whithin the chain. Friendly staff on reception and willing to advise on the best places to visit. Obviously there's no ice machine available but if you walk through the lobby you can walk straight into a Beefeater restaurant great place in its own right, who are more than happy to fill your container full of ice for free. One star off because of the cost of car parking £10 O'Day. The park is owned by the complex, not Premier. Recommend!
Great fun nice atmosphere could do with some more staff at the bar also on the main floor in case you needed help with the bingo games
Went on New Years Eve. The two ladies behind the welcoming counter were very rude/argumentative to the guy infront of us. Then just no thanks or please to us just very un intrested on making it a nice friendly evening. All the guys and girls in the hall itself were gery friendly im used to visiting the dewsbury team who are led by a VERY friendly manager and also alot more modern favilities, wont be going back to Halifax Mecca!
Mecca Bingo, where do I begin. I've only given one star because it won't give me the option to give zero stars. We attended Bonkers bingo last night or as I like to call it "a poor man's Bongo bingo", massive rip off of a great show. The event is only bonkers because no one has a clue what's happening. If I had to compare this place to anywhere it would be the Mos Eisley cantina from Star Wars.....in fact it was that poor we did our best to get thrown out. The only thing I'm gutted about is missing out on Ultrabeat......but then again that would have meant staying longer in this dump.
