I cant really criticise the medical staff because it’s impossible to get an appointment with one. There is an army of gatekeepers though, who seem to just stop you getting appointments and muck up your prescriptions. You daren’t complain either, they have a standard letter that goes out to any patients who express any kind of dissatisfaction with their poor service, which threatens to withdraw any kind of state provided medical care.
Only able to make appointments through an app. Unable to make appointments at the reception/practice. There's quite a wait for appointments unless they think it's an energy when you contact them through the app. Has a chemist inside building. Chemist can get your prescription and send you a text when it's ready to collect.
I can't explain how good this practice is when it comes to my daughter. This is my third GP practice since moving to mount vernon five years ago. I left the other two as I was tired of being told no appointments when it was for same day symptoms like infections or unwell child. This practice have always seen my daughter whatever time I call and not only that the reception team do not make you feel guilty or that you have troubled them. Every GP is very thorough, not rushed and considerate. They really are a caring and wonderful practice.
Genuinely the best experience I’ve had with any GP, Dr Dow was so helpful, she really took the time to listen and went above and beyond to try and help me. The online service to request appointments is really easy to use too.
Dr Walker is fantastic. Really listens, empathetic and incredibly thorough. Excellent service at this very busy practice.
