The McDonald's in Elgin has historically been the best one in the North-East of Scotland. This visit was very good - I've recently begun to use the app and we booked ahead for four people. You need to tell the app that you have arrived to get your food prepared. We were entering Elgin, could literally see the sign, so told it I was there - to get a message saying "it appears you are not quite there yet." These things are sometimes too clever..... We arrived, ordered, picked up our food and ate inside. The place was clean, staff were attentive and friendly and the food was very good. We had a range from chicken legends and nuggets, salad, chips, hot and cold drinks and our order was filled correctly, so all good. We ate early, on our way to an appointment, but by the time we left it was queued out of the door with young people, possibly students, so it might be a victim of its own success. If you're in a hurry it might be worth avoiding peak times, or use the app and order ahead to avoid the queue on the service points inside. They are clearly still paying attention to getting the small things right, and still one of the best McDonald's around.
Lady was lovely and separated meals into two bags so we could drop off a treat for family on the way home. Liked the big tasty. Some things weren't available but that happens, tech gets tired. Only our first visit but I am sure we will look forward to revisiting for occasional treat.Food: 4/5
Had early dinner at 4.30 on our way home from what had already been a 3 hr drive. It wasn't too busy, we found a parking space quickly and we ordered inside on the touch screen rather than using the app which is also handy. Wait was only 10 minutes, plenty of free, clean tables. Used the bathrooms which were also clean. Food was hot, everything we wanted was available. We all left happy Parking: It's a busy place and the carpark should have been made larger as everyone who can't get a space parks on the street Dietary restrictions: My son is allergic to eggs and dairy and has limited choices. I know vegan burgers have been launched but he's not vegan and would love to be able to have a chicken burger instead of the chicken selects, nuggets and apple pie which are the only options he really has currently
Ask for no tomato and there are two big juicy ones inside the box that says no tomato... the food is also stone cold and the bacon is not chewable. Really bad today.Food: 1/5
Seems to have been a fair few staff changes and possibly management and its the worst its been in a while now. I "nip" to mcd in morning to get a coffee. used to be in and out the drive through nice and quick. now it's takes an eternity. cars are backed up and staff are so so slow to the point I dont bother going now for a coffee
Constantly gets orders wrong. Was served beef on my chicken fiesta meal, a week later I was served a large cup with ice but no drink in it. Items missing from my order, cold food, warm mcflurrys and custom orders coming as normal orders. Place is a mess.
Place was packed and there isn't enough parking, but order was fast and food was on par with McDonald's standards. Would love the sauce in my burger next time rather than all down one side, forgivable though. Parking: Not enough parking

Clean restaurant, usual menu although at 3pm on a Saturday quite a few items were not available. Design of the carparking and drive through is appalling.
