Ordered from here on Uber Eats and unfortunately they didn't have the item on the website which nowhere said that it was "out of stock". Completely understand that it might be an Uber Eats issue but there was no help or compensation from this garage and now we're money down because of this. Issue raised with Uber Eats also! If something is out of stock they should ring and ask if you want to continue with the order or even substitute the item/items.
Edit: So figured it was time to update this review as things change, change is just what this store has done. Recently the huge pot hole has been repaired and to a fairly high standard so should last. Also the staff seem much happier now and their stocking issues appear to also have been resolved. What a result, keep up this good work! Old Review: Worst store by a long shot, I'd recommend going to the garage at the top of the road rather than here. Shop looks like its about to fall apart and that's nice, the carparking area has a massive pot hole which has been there for quite sometime now and staff just aren't bothered. That and the fact they never have the basics such as milk is just no good as a shop. Stay clear and go elsewhere, save your time
When it was the CO-OP they provided reasonable food for a reasonable price. This is all gone now McColl's have taken over. A pot hole in the car park was so large they had to put a huge commercial wheelie bin over it to stop people falling into it or damaging their cars. This pot hole was there for over 5 months with no work carried out.!! before COVID-19 2 of the fridges that are supposed to keep the beer and wines cold do not even work but yet they keep them on whirring away but doing nothing. The doors are incredibly difficult to open. I am a 50yr old very fit person so I do not know how an elderly person would get on with them. All the above points have been mentioned to staff who probably hear the same complaints all the time. Its not the staff's fault it is McColl's owners who don't seem to care about anything except profit as they do not maintain their premises. The food and groceries available are poor quality and overpriced so much so I now prefer to drive somewhere else to pick up my stuff than walk around the corner to McColl's.
