Lovely local shop, with everything you could possibly need. The owner has a fantastic sense of humour and is friendly and helpful. It’s really hard running a small local business like this and I don’t think that some of the other people that use this shop realise how lucky they are to have such a wonderful resource on their doorsteps. Most of the small shops like this, in towns and villages around Scotland have closed. It’s open almost around the clock and a lot of hard work goes into keeping a shop like this open in such challenging times. Keep up the good work!
Old bat behind the till was very rude and when I was buying my milk I said I’d need a couple of stamps, and she barked at me “you’ll have to go to the post office,” in a crabby voice. When I left I said “have a nice day,” and she just went “Hrmph!”
The staff doing their level best to make this the least welcoming and most unfriendly shop for visitors to Oban and Scotland.

Felt so sorry for the lady who was working tonight as the man who was on with her was very patronising towards her. She is always so lovely. Their post office part has lost my special delivery parcel in the past and its just a very disorganised shop..... Apart from with the lovely English lady is on. As for the man, he needs a lesson in talking to staff properly and especially not to be horrid to staff in front of paying customers.
I have always had a really great experience in RS McCOLLS in Oban. Super friendly lovely staff in my experience! Never any issues. Great service! I was amazed to find they are open till 10pm even Post Office on Sunday is something we should be grateful of. Brilliant Job Oban McColls!!! Thank you
Old woman behind the counter ID'd and knocked me back for cigarettes the day before my 33rd birthday then claimed "challenge 25" had changed to "challenge 30" whilst wearing a "challenge 25" badge . It's fine, challenge 25 all you want but at what point do you ask yourself "does the person standing in front of me look 17?" She wanted a scene on her sad little power trip and I'm just glad I didn't give her one...because I'm 33, not 17 Got the cigarettes in a little shop further down the road from a lovely woman behind the counter.
Brilliant wee shop with lovely, friendly staff! Always happy to help and have a laugh!
Closes at 6pm most days so not as convenient for stuff beyond those hours.
