It's getting better now its been bought by morrisons. Staff are generally pretty miserable and need more training for the post office section. At least its not full of empty fridges anymore.
Most stuff is quite expensive, but a nice convenient little store - staff are nice enough if a little awkward sometimes but that's okay! Can get name brand soda for a decent 2-for-1 price, and pre-heated food to go including vegan sausage rolls! for cheap £1.30.
This is the second time now that I've been faced with a barricaded entrance when visiting this grubby little hole! The first was a good while back when they were going into administration and now today 17/06/23 the builders are in for what appears to be a "Morrisons Daily" refit!, as there are "KEEP OUT" signs everywhere......of course no advance warning was given regarding this closure and I've just had my second and final wasted visit....I won't be calling again! Please feel free to be arrogant in my absence, I'll shop elsewhere!
Very poor attitude of most staff members. Basics of customer service or manners missing from Gary and Luke especially. Left waiting at till for an eternity often watching staff talking in store room. Items very often mispriced or discount not removed at till. The only store I know where I actively check Im being charged correctly.
The shop is great, well stocked and fantastic opening hours. However, it drives me nuts that there is NEVER anybody at the tills when you walk in, I spent 15 minutes waiting for somebody to appear from the back last week to take my mail despite countess bell ringing from the other cashier. No matter which till you go to, you have to wait for somebody to stop stocking shelves to serve you. More staff needed if they can’t have somebody manning the tills at all times, or atleast come straight to the till when somebody walks in. Quite irritating
Supposed to be open until 9pm but have walked down there a few times now to find it has been closed early with no prior notice to customers. I am not the first person to complain about this either. Avoid this place if you plan on going after 7pm.
This place is no longer a McColl's but a Mirrisons Daily?
Very polite friendly & helpful staff. Clean tidy premises. Car park. Well stocked. Off licensed. Both Pay-Pay & Pay-Zone. Long opening hours. Miles ahead of other Premier stores.
great little shop, bit expensive on some stuff but that's why it's called a convenience store, staff are always polite and nice, can't fault the place :
