Great place to stop for a coffee and cake or a meal before getting on the ferry opposite or after getting off the ferry. We stopped for coffee, deluxe hot chocolate and cakes which were very tasty but lots of other guests had a meal, which also looked very nice. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Small free car park next to the Cafe or a pay and display along the road. After our snack we had a look around the old station right opposite the Cafe.
Great little breakfast place, right near train station and ferry port- great for people staying at the campsite! Attached to butchers / farm shop and so food was fresh and tasty! Seating area was bright and open, with nice decor and lovely staff. Veggie breakfast has Veggie haggis which was a first for me- but well worth a try. Only downside was that another Veggie breakfast came with bacon by accident. Simple mistake, but something to keep an eye on!
They do a great breakfast here. Proper butchers sausages and thick cut bacon, none of the photocopy stuff. Full on hearty breakfast at a decent price. Had a little trouble trying to order chips to go with it but it was all sorted out satisfactorily in the end. We'll worth it and actually struggled to eat all the chips. Highly recommended. Parking: Free street parking and the station car park is 2 mins walk away. Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, no steps, wide door and room for a wheelchair. Mobility scooters will have to be parked outside, if you can walk a very short distance to your table.
I was in the butcher shop and delicatessen. Not the cheapest meat but excellent quality. Great selection of stir fry's, burgers, slice and chicken escalopes. All the usual cuts and more. Free range chicken and Scottish raised beef. Steak pies are amazing. On the deli side - cheese, cold cuts, dressings, sauces. To many things to remember. Full range of wines and a knowledgeable boss for recommendations. You can place an order and collect or have it delivered. Have been in the restaurant. Wherever possible it's their own and local produce. Well worth a visit. Parking: Usually can't get parked outside. There is a car park behind the station. This is located directly across from McCaskies. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs so access to the premises is straightforward.
Bought two tubs of soup to carry out lentil n bacon two Rolls and two cans of Coke over £10 but the soup was just like stock, hardly any vegetables and two small pieces of bacon. Absolutely disgusting and I wi t be back for any take a ways. We often frequent the cafe but this has put me right off. It was a total waste of money.

Lovely food and quick service. Ideal location as there is a train station across the way so would imagine busy most of the day. Unfortunately parking was where ever you couldFood: 5/5
Great wee place for lunch. Good quality excellent and the staff so pleasant and chatty. Well done! Kid-friendliness: Seemed to cater for the younger kids Parking: On street parking 1h restriction or for permit holders. Parking available in the nearby station at a cost. Dietary restrictions: Had options for gluten free versions of menu items.
Went in last week with my friend for their breakfast but was too late so settled for 3 very small balls In bread crumbs of their award winning black pudding which tasted very nice. The waitress lifted my pot of tea off her tray with her fingers over the side of the tea pot & it dawned on me when I tasted the not very hot pot of tea that she maybe hadn't heated the up first or the water wasn't boiling SO after I drank my tea & tried their Lattie & it was good but it wasn't piping hot. At least my plate on which my food was put on, was quite hot & that's the way it should be
