Visiting relatives and a good position between the two. Room was very clean, very comfortable bed, water very hot and plentiful. Speedy WiFi. Continental breakfast was choice of 3 cereals, tea or coffee, big bowl of fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants were fresh and possibly home made. Toast. All served in the room. At this property you can come and go as you please because it's self contained, and not in the main house. Zoe was very friendly and welcoming. Certainly more homely than a Premier Inn and great value with the breakfast.nPub right across the road.nI would not hesitate to stay here again.
Absolutely lovely place to stay, rooms are very clean and tidy and fab bathroom.nBetter if you have your own transport.nLovely breakfast, 2 trays !! Very filling and fresh.nZoe the host is very welcoming, helpful and friendly.nWould highly recommend a stay here, and we would definitely return.
We stayed at May's Cottage last night and liked the room a lot - all very well maintained as if it was new. Zoe was a gem of a host and fabulously helpful from start to finish, especially when our Uber driver stood us up. Her breakfast was a lovely treat and gave us the energy for our third leg of the South Downs Way. Thank you!
I could not have asked for better really! Zoe was such a lovely host and really made me feel at home. She let me meet her lovely little dogs upon request too, and they definitely brought a smile. Very clean room with the comfiest bed I've ever slept in! Lovely bathroom. The only minor fault with the room was that the flush on the toilet was a little weak and it did take a few attempts to flush.nnThe location isn't ideal for someone who doesn't drive. It's a half hour walk to town and the train station, and it's not the easiest walk with having to cross very busy main roads. There was a little noise from traffic, but it was quiet through the night when I was sleeping, so that's the main thing. There are some conveniences nearby like a pub and garage with a shop which is about a 15 min walk.nnI'd definitely stay again if I was in the area!
Had a fantastic stay at Mays B and B last night. The room was spotless, cosy and very comfortable. Zoe and her husband are lovely and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was extremely generous and tasty. We slept very well- it was so quiet and peaceful. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
