About Ghost MusicalnnThe musical Ghost is a spectacular adaptation of the classic 90s film, successfully bringing all the emotion and magic of the original story to the stage. One of the production's greatest highlights is the special effects, which amaze the audience by bringing iconic scenes to life, such as ghosts passing through walls.nnThe set design also deserves high praise, as it is dynamic and well-planned, allowing for quick scene changes without compromising the flow of the narrative. The transition between scenes happens naturally and harmoniously, providing complete immersion in the plot. Furthermore, the engaging soundtrack enhances the emotional atmosphere of the show, making each moment even more remarkable.nnThe actors' performances are another strong point of the production. The lead couple has convincing chemistry, making the audience connect with and be moved by their story. Special mention should also be made of the supporting characters, who bring energy and humor to the show, ensuring a balance between drama and good laughs.nThe adaptation of the story for the theater was done intelligently. The scenes were well-adjusted for the stage.nnHowever, one negative aspect worth mentioning is the portrayal of the main character's murderer as Latin American. This detail may reinforce negative stereotypes and fuel prejudice against immigrants, which is an unfortunate choice in a society that already faces challenges related to discrimination.nDespite this drawback, Ghost is an emotional and technically impressive musical that is well worth watching.
We visit the Mayflower quite regularly and always have a good time. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Do always give yourself plenty of time before the shows as it can get busy if you want to buy merchandise and visit the toilets. The pictures are from a most recent visit when we had seats in Box A. The view was a little restricted but didn't affect the show and having more leg room and chairs more than made up for it. We have sat in many places and this was one of our favourites especially for my partner who is tall..
Lovely theatre, hosting some fantastic performances, both touring shows and local ones. Most recently I was here to watch Murder on the Orient Express, which was amazing.nThe seats are comfortable and have room for long legs and the prices for drinks and snacks are most reasonable. Only comment is that it gets quite hot in the theatre so bring layers you can take off.
Bought tickets online, that came by email quickly.nnUpon arrival, had a friendly welcome from staff members, explaining where to go to find my seat.nnWent upstairs to the bar......and was pleasantly surprised at the price of drinks......expected them to be much more expensive.nnFound my seat and settled in. Great view, and a decent amount of room.nnGreat atmosphere, and love the decor.nnDuring the interval bought ice cream and drinks from the kiosk.nnAt the end, able to get out quickly and easily.nnWill definitely be back.
Just been to see the amazing musical '& Juliet'. Fantastic show. The Mayflower Theatre is my favourite Theatre, always lovely and clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere every time with every different show. This occasion I had 'lost' my tickets on my phone am a technophobe they very quickly found them on their system and printed me a copy ensuring I didn't miss a thing. Already booked on for another show next year.
