Great experience at The Mayflower Theatre. Not a theatre I know. But booked tickets online to collect at the venue. Nice and easy.nWhen I arrived the staff were great, pointed me in the right direction to get the tickets.nI was only three rows from the back, but the view was fine. I already knew this as the website shows me a photo from my seat when I picked it. It was accurate.nLoved the show. Easy to order interval drinks. Overall a great experience and another theatre ticked off my list.
It's such a beautiful theatre. Staff are amazing!nnI book shows here every year, normally between 2 - 3 times myself and my partner will come here to watch a show. We absolutely love how the theatre is set out and the fact that it runs with Southampton being nautical.nnThey have a range of drinks available in their bars and also some sweet snacks in the main foyer. You can also purchase merchandise for the show you are watching, such as programmes.nnWe tend to sit in the stalls or dress circle and always have an excellent view from our seats. If you're unsure of where to book your seats, there is a site in which people upload photos of their view for this theatre. aviewfrommyseat.co.uk nnIt's approximately 5 minutes away from the train station - walking and close by to the centre where you can grab a bite to eat before or after the show. There is a bar right next door, which is perfect for your pre-show drinks!nnClean, well-kept, and reasonable pricing tickets. There is a variety of shows to watch so there's something for everyone!!
Nice theatre but I found it lacking in leg room and I'm not very tall. Also we arrived on motorbikes and there is no cloakroom to leave helmets etc. We were lucky because someone offered to look after ours for us otherwise we would have had to put them by our already cramped feet. We had a great view of the show from the dress circle and actually preferred seating there rather than the stalls. Staff were friendly and helpful. the queuing was dealt with very well and we were seated reasonably quickly. Overall a good experience.
This is a lovely theatre inside. We visited to watch Six which was amazing and a must see.nHowever I was really disappointed with the seating. We were sat in row D of the balcony and the view was amazing but the experience was spoilt by how uncomfortable the seats were. There was zero legroom. I couldn’t put my feet flat on the floor and have bruises on my shins from the seat in front and my knees were almost touching the person in front. At 5’6” I’m not tall either.nNot sure if I would visit again
Been multiple times. Always wonderful performances and good views from the seats. Most recently saw aladdin - what a great show! This time we had 2 drinks, glass of wine and pint of beer came to £12 which we thought was very reasonable and we could take them to our seats.
