Stopped off on my way through really friendly staff. It was a great reception, and I helped choose something from the menu that was perfect for me. I'm really glad I stopped here. I would definitely recommend it. Also, the service was really quick and looked very clean. I know my pictures aren't the best bit I am eating in my car had the veggie chicken protein option with bean curd, and black bean sauce. Also very easy to park amd eat outside.
Has the Mayflower changed hands? Not been for ages, but nothing we ordered was how it used to be. Ribs came with sauce separately so not properly 'sticky', lemon chicken was not lemony and sharp, just bland with a bit of uncooked lemon plonked on top, seaweed in big lumps and not crispy. The food here used to be delicious.Food: 1/5
So disappointed, we have been going to the Mayflower for years, and the food was always great. I assume it's changed owners because the food we ordered last night was revolting. It wasn't edible, we threw the whole takeaway in the bin. Feel like I've been ripped off.Food: 1/5
To say we are disappointed would be a tremendous understatement. Have been going to this restaurant for YEARS, and always had a fabulous meal. Not sure what has happened but our takeaway tonight was barely edible. The salt and pepper chips were soggy and tasted like microwave chips. The fried rice was bland and tasteless. We asked for chicken fried rice, but what was received had an abundance of other meats I couldn't christen and prawns- maybe it was a special fried rice? Anyhow it wasn't what we'd ordered and it looked like a dogs dinner quite honestly..completely unappetising. The lemon chicken used to be lovely- nice pieces of chicken sliced. Tonight there was so much deep fried batter that it was difficult to cut through and not much chicken in there and uneven pieces all stuck together. New chef maybe? Anyhow won't be going back..it's such a shame because it WAS by far the best in the area.

Well I’ve eaten here loads and tonight’s meal wasn’t very nice my mums sweet and sour chicken had the smallest bits of chicken in it and one piece of pineapple and one pepper, mine was like eating vinegar it wasn’t very nice, I’m afraid after using this Chinese for four years I’m going to have to look for a better one as tonight’s tea was horrible.
Absolutely rubbish. This chinese takeaway used to be the best in Stockport but not since new owners. Have been going for over 20 years. Never again.

Worse Chinese takeaway ever and i will never ever eat another one, chips were cooked about 3 times HARD rice was OK sweet and sour chicken was way too sweet and duck was very fatty not nice, 18.20 pounds down the drain. Horrible is the best way to explain. Horrible.Food: 1/5
