Looks very tired and run down from the outside but could not fault the food. My colleague and I had three main courses with rice and noodles. Chilli king prawns, large and succulent. Chicken in black bean sauce, tender pieces. Crispy pork - Crispy and tasty. Service was good, friendly and she made some useful suggestions.
Excellent service and really tasty, authentic food. We ordered the shredded duck with pancakes, and some pork ribs among others; I highly recommend these dishes. 100% would return when I am next in Blackpool!
Crap Chinese. Went in, admittedly a bit late, but we opted for having a takeaway as suggested by staff as it was too late. Fine by us. Staff then proceeded to seat and serve other customers who arrived later than us. Waited ages for our food, as they served Seated customers their food before us. Took food back to hotel and dished it out, special fried rice full of processed ham and Chicken in Oyster Sauce that smelled and tasted like actual sick. Not too impressive. Prawn toast was good though. That's about it.
Lovely food and served by friendly staff. Took a chance as we were visiting Blackpool & hadn't been to Mayflower before. Very glad we did as we had an excellent meal & reasonably priced too.

Dont let appearance from the outside put you off. much nicer inside. Waiting staff really helpful in keeping my son happy particularly with his picky eating and allergies. Even a separate vegetarian menu for my wife. All left with full bellies!
Was visiting the area on a weekend away so tried the Mayflower for an evening meal with family. We have been to a large number of Chinese restaurants and my honest opinion is this is one of the better ones. Great food, friendly staff and pleasant surroundings
Excellent food with very polite and friendly staff. Reasonably priced restaurant. I've been to the Mayflower many times over the past 25+ years and never disappointed.
Simple in appearance but great food. The duck pancakes were delicious and the King prawns in garlic sauce perfect.
