Great store has everything you need Helpful and friendly staff highly recommended.
Just had 15 oak doors supplied and fitted. Great bunch of knowledgeable lads in the shop and fantastic installation job by John. Highly recommended
Sadly the only decent DIY shop has moved from South Shields. Jarrow Maxwells do not cut wood for you.
Went today and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We need these local shops. I wouldn't have got the same helpful advice in the like of B&Q.
Lots of products to choose from at very reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Like going in the DIY shop but this time I have not been in The shop this year you have got something wrong on the other hand the times I have been in the staff help you as much ad there can even when there are sorting out stock to put out the reason I put 4 stars is last year when I went into the shop and there ran put 9f the item I needed but apart from that Maxwells is a good family business.
Anything and everything you need for all your DIY projects and very good prices for a small company compared to Wicks, B+Q etc.

Brilliant shop its not that big but has just about everything you need for diy i have bought a lot of different thing's i needed over many years and have never been disappointed with the goods.staff are so helpful they really go out of thier way.
As always ... Knowledgeable staff.. helpful ...polite....perhaps other stores could learn from their approach to customers Good prices as well !
