Absolutely outstanding sandwich shop – one of the best I’ve tried!nI finally visited Max’s sandwich and I’m officially obsessed. This place isn’t just another sandwich spot — it’s a creative powerhouse with seriously delicious food.nnWhat really stands out is how creative everything feels. You can tell the owners and chefs actually love what they do. The menu feels fresh and exciting, not like every other sandwich place in town.
Having heard about Max's around 18 months ago ot was on the list of possible whilst holidaying from New Zealand. Definitely worth the visit great friendly service, fantastic sandwich and the Big Max potatoes were top notch. Fantastic Negroni to top it off.
One hell of a vibe whilst serving fantastic food and providing absolutely A* personable service.nnVisited Max's holy grail of sambo's late afternoon on the last Wednesday in Feb. Wednesdays were dedicated to Sausages so full advantage was taken, ordering an absolute beaut of a hotdog with all the trimmings. Jalapeno mac & cheese balls as a side, along with the most fantastic Vanilla milkshake that the stunning blonde I'd dragged along with me described as tasting like the inside of a Malteser bunny.nnAll the staff were huge morale with great camaraderie. We were lucky enough to catch the main man Max himself, who treated me to the delights of my first ever Pickleback shot and our own personal mini TedTalk on the wonders of fatherhood. Legend. Can't wait to return!
We heard good things about Max’s and are finally here! We arrived before noon and were lucky enough to have no queue!nnOrdered their signature egg & ham sandwich and Caesar’s sandwich, which are both banging! We actually liked the Caesar’s one more as it was refreshing and not how you would imagine it to taste like. Spuds are also surprisingly good, crunchy and flavourful.nnMax himself was really welcoming and generally good vibe in the restaurant, would recommend :
Quite easily the most expensive sandwich I bought at £15.95. I got the Caesar and it was very tasty, probably the best sandwich I had although very slightly too much pickles if I’m being picky. Love the garlicky croutons, definitely adds a very satisfying crunch
