My partner and I visited for the first time this afternoon as we’d heard a lot of good things about this place. We’re hoping our visit is not fully reflective of the usual experience - maybe we were unlucky!nThe waitress was really friendly and polite upon arriving, but didn’t inform us that the wait would be long for a takeaway sandwich - 40 minutes in total despite arriving ahead of about half of the people there. I asked the waitress for an estimate on remaining wait around the 30 minute mark but she did not have an estimate available to her.nThe sandwiches were very flavourful and filling hence why the review is 4 not 3, but wrapped in one sheet of paper which didn’t stand up very well against the amount of sauce in the Caesar sandwich. Same for the paper bag our order was wrapped in - if you will be eating your sandwich any more than 15 minutes after you get it we would recommend holding the bag from the bottom! I believe the packaging is the same whether you eat in or not.nWe also noticed it was very warm in the shop, and they cannot comfortably seat more than four people, so bear this in mind if you’re planning your visit ahead :nNot 100% sure the sandwich was worth the price £13.95 but hopefully our next visit will be better!
Best Sandwich in London bar none. Refined selection + high quality = Max's. Thank you Cameron, Dre and Team. Rotating specials, lovely staff and tasteful music.
For the size of the sandwich I feel that 13.95 was a bit expensive. It was a very good sandwich, the food itself was something different and fresh.
We aways come here when we get an opportunity to be in this bit of town. Awesome, unique and tasty sandwiches had the lasagna one yesterday and I think it was one of my faves, alongside ham, egg and chips. Drinks are awesome, discovered here that the Ceaser cocktail is my favourite. Great vibes, staff, decor - just all round good fun
Had a wonderful Thursday evening visiting Max’s for the first time with my daughters. The atmosphere was excellent, despite us being there pretty early in the evening. We witnessed the window cleaner’s latest verse being created in real time, a long time local being loudly and hilariously kicked out and had a fascinating chat with Max about Hunter S Thompson.nnThe food was absolutely delicious- ham, egg and chips being the stand-out winner.nnAbsolutely recommend.
