We heard good things about Max’s and are finally here! We arrived before noon and were lucky enough to have no queue!nnOrdered their signature egg & ham sandwich and Caesar’s sandwich, which are both banging! We actually liked the Caesar’s one more as it was refreshing and not how you would imagine it to taste like. Spuds are also surprisingly good, crunchy and flavourful.nnMax himself was really welcoming and generally good vibe in the restaurant, would recommend :
The best sandwiches.nnI’ve wanted to visit Max’s for a few years but living in Surrey I was tricky to get to.nnAll I can say is I should have made the trip up to North London much sooner.nnWe sampled the Ham, Egg and Chips sandwich along with the “ Et Tu, Brute? Murdering The Caesar,” both were works of art.nnWe did have to wait for an hour for our food because it was so busy, but we went next door to a lovely pub called the Robin and waited in there. Max’s gifted us some Mac and cheese balls for being easy customers too - legends.nnThe service was attentive and friendly.nnThis is a place for everyone.
This had been recommended to me by a friend and didn’t disappoint! Really nice people working there and stunning grub. Devo that I dropped half my sandwich on the floor pea and green beans but got some spuds to help with the trauma of it all. We also got the egg and hamhock sarny. All YUMMY as heck !!!
Really good sandwiches. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Good system for getting a table which is great as it gets quite busy.
Great sandwiches! Definitely on the pricy side of gourmet sandwiches, long waits and always packed but worth it. Wouldn't make it my daily spot but it's a must try nonetheless
