Absolutely terrible chips ordered through the Morecambe food app rather than Just eat but unfortunately you cant leave a review or ask for a refund due to inedible food all you get is call restaurant which is a useless solution. So back to the chips impossible to eat unless you want a massive dental bill. Impossible to stab one with a fork unless you wear safety spectacles as they either bend the fork or shatter & fly across the room. Talk about triple cooked chips well these were triple fried until they were harder than Pork scratchings. I wouldnt mind but the shop actually sells fish N chips so you would think they would know when they sent them out how bad they were so it makes me believe they dont care... If they dont care about a few chips then it makes you think about ordering again from them. Finally after soaking them in sweet and sour sauce and OK sauce we thought we might stand a chance of them going soft regrettably it didnt work in the slightest. Photos show the chips we didnt fancy trying at all and the rest on the plates are the ones we risked getting a huge dental bill trying to bite one!
Always great food. Good portions, piping hot and delicious. Lovely delivery driver, always smiling and polite, knocked quietly on the window, we’ve never asked him to but it’s much appreciated.Food: 5/5
3rd time we’ve ordered from here now and it’s our new favourite Chinese takeaway. Fried rice and curry sauce are lovely, salt and pepper chicken is delicious, and even the free prawn crackers are good. The delivery driver is extremely courteous, and always has a beaming smile. Never asked him to but he always knocks gently on the window, it’s much appreciated!
Max is my go to take away, the food its self ive never had any issues with however but three times now they have missed the drinks off in my order & had to wait minimum of 45 minutes for them to be delivered.Food: 5/5
Super quick delivery, expected 40 mins was here in 20mins. Only issue was the dish in the new items menu - chicken and beef in black bean sauce - there was no chicken when it arrived just beef.Food: 3/5
I thought customer service meant something to them but it doesn't. I had always had great service until tonight. We had no water, heating or Internet for 6 days. So on mobile phone we ordered food from Max cost about £27 including £1.50 for delivery and 50p for service not cheap only to find half missing. When I phoned I was told they were busy could they CREDIT for next time. WHAT my grandchildren wanted their supper. I said no so they said they would deliver. BUT THEY DIDNT. I will visit the shop tomorrow because I want the money back there will be no next time. Many people ask on the holiday sites for recommendations I will make sure they don't use Max.
Food was good, service was good. They only seem to accept card payments through just eat which is how we ordered ours. Was only 10 mins away so collected the food. It was ready at the set time when I turned up.
Ordered the special chow main and a few other things while we was away on holiday food was great! really polite staff and delivery driver was really polite! If we are in town again we will be 100% going again Thanks!
We use this take away ever week and it’s never been anything else but perfect we’ve tried other places in Heysham and morcambe and it’s by far the best take their quick and food is awesome and the staff are super friendly we highly recommend to anyone it’s awesome
I can honstly say the worse chippy ever been to 8 of us on a fishing trip all the food was bland and most of ud didnt eat it the chips was awfull solid overcooked frozen chips how is this place staying openFood: 1/5
