I have been to this mauds in Donaghadee a few times now and everytime I come they never have the proper sauce or the proper cartons or tubs. I just don't think it's good enough for the prices you're expected to pay. I bought my mum a toffee nut sundae as always they never have the sauce. I explained to the girl I didn't want fresh cream on top and she said that's fine I'll just add a little more ice cream. Pathetic when I got it home it was 3 quarters filled with chocolate sauce. No I'll pass next time.
Best Ice cream ever, especially Poor Bears Delight.
It's ok as an ice cream parlour. I suspect it trades on historic reputation, as the selection of ice creams on offer was pretty meagre. Better selections are to be had elsewhere.
Best ice-cream ever we always come back but not enough of these shops around now days
Good value cafe. Scones and coffee tasty well priced as a special deal. The negative- scones came with little glass jars of jam and what looked like clotted cream which turned out to be margarine. Pleasant staff but didn't look good coming into a busy cafe and they were sitting on their phones at one of the tables. To be fair they did get up quickly.
Clean and tidy. Small shop buy great seating for day out with children. Excellent t choice of tea's and coffees with tray bakes and of course ice cream. Everything from comes, tubs and Sundaes! Worth a visit!
5 * for the ice cream but 2 * for the service. We clearly disturbed the ‘texting time’ and our server could have charmed the paint off the walls. However the normal service is much better and the ice cream is always amazing!!
Far too expensive. Asked for two scoops in a tub, priced at £2.40. Usually in any ice cream shop a scoop means a few decent scrapes of the product so you get a relatively full tub. I got literally two small scoops. Felt a bit cheated Won't be back.
A Popular place to visit when you are in Donaghadee - sometimes you just come to the town for an Ice cream by the sea! Small shop with some seats/tables indoors. Can get very busy at times. Has all the usual Maud's offerings - a good selection of Ice cream flavours. Staff are friendly and efficient. Can't ask for more than that!
I love Maud's. This wee shop is great with all the usual flavours available. It's great that you can sit in and have tea or coffee while the kids have their treat!
